Should parents teach kids to drive or pay for education?
Dazzling Dexter: Now legally parents only need to feed you and give you a place to sleep. This is something my parents often told me as a child. Telling me they were not obligated BYLAW to do anything else. As a child you can put your child in sports, teach them to drive or help fund and get them ready for college. A lot of people will kick thier kids at 18. Now a lot of parents say they should not be obligated to invest anything more than food and house in thier kids. However for much of thier lives children depend on parents becuase they really have no other option. At 18 I got offered a job but was still finishing HS so my parents forbid me to take it and I later got kicked out at 19. Looking back I feel like if at age 11 I tried harder to create a succesful career/business and savings instead of spending my money on yugioh carda I would have had a future at 18. I later found succesful employment snd been working the same job for a couple of years. Law does not require parents to help children or love children past food or housing but should parents do more than the bare basics? Is asking such unfiar?

Goddess Of Shadows: Parents should love their children enough to want them to have better life and to support them in it.
Goddess Of Shadows: Yep, I hear ya there. I feel the same about my exs daughter i may not have had her but if she needs me im there
deacon7771: What a bizarre world we live in! Or maybe I am bizarre and just see the rest of the world through my own bizarre perception... For me, there was never any need for any law, I loved my son the moment I heard his very first cry in the delivery room at the hospital. He is now 23 years old, and we have had our ups and downs, currently we are not best friends but I do still, and always have loved my son. OF COURSE I taught my son how to drive, the thought of anyone else teaching him how to drive seems just wrong to me. We live in a sick world if it is the law that compels people to do the right things, you should do the right things because you want to live right, the law is just there to push weak people in the right direction. Unfortunately, laws are getting just as stupid and absurd as the "lawmakers," and most of our lawmakers are NOT good examples for people, little wonder that they make horrible laws.
Goddess Of Shadows: yep thats true i raised two girls that werent mine but treated them as if they were. At age 10 i taught the oldest to drive a tractor and a gator. Was planning on teaching her to drive and giving her my truck at 16. but her father married some one else. So at 12 she was told i wasnt her actual mom.
Billie Ingle: I'm 22 and married but my wife and i call both my mother mom because for me it is my mother and for my wife her mother in law but she sees my mother as hers and tbh i learned myself how to drive a car by looking how my cousin did it one day he got extremely mad at me when he noticed his car was gone and said who the fuck learned you to drive Billie? I was from i saw how you did it and tried it so i was gone sorry he be lucky i caught you and 1 thing you do wrong, you always go in the 1st gear when you stood still then directly in 2nd not starting with the 2nd Billie and i was from what the, he even isn't mad at me but so did i learn how to drive.
They want you to study so pay for it because i know ways enough to get a shitload of money without a study
