zombie powder: But there are ways to do it without exposing the whole breast.

zombie powder: plus say you're riding a bus, and your child wants to feed, are you gonna let your child starve, simply because its a public place?

Mysteriousblackcat: yeah but come on do you really need to see that and well could a woman have the back up of a bottle of breast milk for the kid?

zombie powder: You dont have to look at it, just turn you head away. How hard is that to do? Are you the type of person who looks at everybody when you go out? Just dont look at it. It's that simple.

Khatnip: Many breastfed babies won't take a bottle. It's highly discouraged by a lot of people, anyway as it may cause something called nipple confusion - especially in younger babies.

I have no problem with a woman breastfeeding in public. It's what breasts are FOR. There is nothing dirty or shameful about it.

Quantum zero: I actually saw a Mother feeding a baby in the shopping centre in navan a few weeks ago. It caught me attention cos its not common to see that kinda thing. but I shook me head, NOT cos I didnt think it was appropriate!! but cos its between mother and baby, and nothing to do with anyone else! Yes, it WAS obvious she was feeding, but she was discrete. She wasnt exposed

I cant help thinking there must be something wrong with society to look at such a natural thing with disdain. Im getting more and more worried all the time with where society is taking us!!

leduchess: I think they should go somewhere private - it isn't a exposure issue so much as a mother child bonding issue and a very private moment.

Khatnip: Leduchess, would you feel that way if it were a father giving a baby a bottle? Just curious.

leduchess: Actually, I do. When my children were babies, I gave my husband every opportunity to bond with our children, allowing him his privacy while he was giving our children a bottle. I find todays men, taking more opportunities to be a parent, which is so wonderful.

zombie powder: Leduchess, how can they go somewhere private when they are on a bus with hundreds of people? Or on a subway train? They have to feed their baby regardless of where they are.

Quantum zero: See? Theres^ your problem right there!! Selfish bas tards who care more about their own pleasures, no matter how cheap, then the care of a baby. Those types are just completely fucked UP!! And make it necessary for women to nurse in private. they fuck up society, instill a fear, and only cos their selfishness instills fear in one of the most natural things any mother can do!!

Bumpa: Zero, you're 100% right. A tit isn't there for the perving pleasure of a dickwad like the above, it's there for the comfort and feeding of a little baby.
I have 6 kids and all were fed in public if they were hungry, it's easy to do discreetly without flashing anything.

Mysteriousblackcat: lmao well to this conversation i personally will never breast feed and thats a concious descision but as long as i don't have to be there while some one is breast feeding im happy. one of my friends breast feed her child but any time we were out she always brought a bottle and was her decision. fair dues to women that do it, i think as a dairy farmer it has put me off as i see what the cows can go through and thats not saying women are cows but it does make you think.
