Copy right on all our personal photos DiIIy: News report from Yahoo news. "Woman steals baby photos to trick ex A primary school teacher stole baby photos from a former classmate’s Facebook page and tricked her ex-boyfriend into believing the child was theirs, a disciplinary hearing in Britain has heard. 23-year-old Victoria Jones, who wanted to get back at her former lover Daniel Barberini for dumping her, downloaded 82 pictures of a friend’s baby girl and told him that he was the father. Reportedly, she also told Barberini that Keira (as she decided to call the baby) was a twin, but that her baby brother, ‘Harrison’, had been born with Down’s Syndrome and died not long after birth. As part of her elaborated revenge plan, Jones also convinced Barberini that she had taken the baby to Australia, where he couldn’t see her. The disciplinary hearing also learned that she managed to fool Barberini for two years. The hoax ended when Barberini showed a photo of the baby to a friend, who knew her real mother, Sarah Jensen." Has it come to a point that we should put those copy right symbols/waves ( not sure what you call them) across all our personal photos to prevent identity theft. You read or hear about this more often these days so is it time to either stop uploading pictures of our family on sites like here and FB. Magz Rides Again: That's one of the reasons I have my pics set to private and only those on my friends list can see them. Even then, my friends know they need my permission to use them. This situation is sad, because it wasn't just a random person, but a supposed friend. DiIIy: So how well do you know your friends on here? Are they who they say they are? There are zillions of images on google and this women could have used any child picture. I think it would be worth finding out how to make out personal pictures safe for our use only. Magz Rides Again: it is possible that you can make it impossible for anyone to see them. Just for your own personal record. Those that I do have on my list, I trust implicitly. More than some I know in the real world. DiIIy: No i think you misunderstand me Anne. Displaying your own pictures whether it be on FB or like in here but making it safe to display them by copyright so if the image is saved it still has those markings on them. Sorry i dont know what thats called. Magz Rides Again: Oh you mean watermarks. yep it's also possible on some sites to view photos with no ability avail. to copy them or save them to your desktops DiIIy: Thats it, just couldn't think of what they called it. Ive seen it over so many pictures and think it may be time we all do it. As for trusting members here implicitly, i think id be thinking twice before i unloaded family pics here, you never really know who you're chatting to. Magz Rides Again: so true. That's one of the reasons I don't have any of my son. Just hot guys & sexy lingerie! lmao | Parenting Chat Room 29 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
