lizzie5
lizzie5: Ladies, I'm 6 months pregnant and I'm absolutely scared of giving birth.
Do share your experiences. Also ,how good is epidural and does it have any effect on the baby?

Austin's Babe
Austin's Babe: I would say that when my daughter was born it was life changing... Even with the pain of labor I wouldn't change it... Labor is going to hurt but it will all be worth it... The epidural doesn't effect the baby and I have heard it works pretty well... I can't tell you myself because I had a completely natural birth... If you need any advice I would be happy to help out... Just shoot me a message... Good luck hun! <3

bri: ya Austin's Babe is right labour does hurt a lot but you will be surprised how strong you are and can be i was in labour for 48 hours i was stuck at 2 and 3 cm for the longest time when i finally got to 6 cm everything went super fast and so they said i couldn't get the epidural at that point i was upset and freaking out but after he was out i felt so strong and so confident cause i gave birth naturally and it was something i never thought i could do don't worry bout it to much and don't expect everything to go as planned my boy was supposed to be born yesterday but ended up coming a week and 2 days early and i wanted drugs but ended up going natural its all new and its a learning process and whatever happens happens just know that its all worth it to have the little miracle in your arms.

Aura
Aura: When I was pregnant I with my first I got a book called 'daughters of the goddes' (that title is translated, might be slightly different in the english version). It wasn't a 'pregnancy book', it was a fiction book. It was about the beginning of mankind, how we could have gone from animals to living in tribes. It was the best thing to put my mind at ease. Things like giving birth and having to eat the afterbirth because the woman was too weak to search for food, preditors that would come to the smell, the invention of the c-section because the mother had died and the tribal leader saw the baby was still moving. It made me count my blessings that whatever laid ahead, it was waaaaaay better than what had been before.

pinkphenomenon: Bwahaha @ "its like trying to shit out a watermelon" I'm trying my hardest to blank out this part of parenting... But with less than ten weeks to go, the braxton hicks aka minor contractions are a sheer reminder :s
