why let your child believe in the tooth fairy and santa? (Page 6) Lora123: The hostility wasn't directed at anyone for the decisions they make for their own family. The hostility was a reaction to the insinuation that anyone who allows their child to believe is doing them harm. pjt1965: I am sorry if i came across as 'hostile'. It was not my intention. I only wish, for ALL children, to have some happiness and magic in their lives. I see sooooo many who have learned the 'truths' about life? Way too early. And it seems to inhibit their ability to have 'hope' or to see..'the brighter side' of life. Lora123: @pjt1965: I don't think anyone would mistake any of your lovely comments as being hostile. No, the hostility in this thread started when some guy acted all superior, insinuating that letting children believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, or even God for that matter, was doing them a grave injustice, and he knew better. The reactions to him from a lot of us were strident, to say the least. Many went overboard in this vein and have had their comments automatically deleted by the system. No one could label anything you've written as being even remotely hostile. ☺ Hyenablood: it isn't wrong to let children belive for a few years, then when they want to know, tell em. Obsidian_Dream_X: i was raised (not since birth, only since the age of 6) believing in christianity & that holy bible, and it didn`t harm me, LOL freshfriends: Its not about beliefs, its all about letting kids be kids and letting them have some dreams and fantasy in their lives. It all good normal fun. wicked and sexy: my daughter has just lost her first tooth and the t.fairy..left her some coins..whats the harm in that.. | Parenting Chat Room 36 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
