Lulz Sittle13ear
Lulz Sittle13ear: i was raised with each and every one of them, but, i fin it stupid to tell them about these things, lying saying a man and rain deer delivers presents for the children, when the story was a man named nick who went door to door walking giving the poor one toy per child and food for the family, then later died of old age, why continue saying hes still living? i was only 5 when my mother n father told me "Santa Died Years ago" n i cried, im still heart broken that i believed in something so untrue, people may deny is, but its true, n the easter bunny? i see no point, no rabbit lays eggs, no rabbit gives you gifts. Tooth Fairy? i found out on my own it were my mother at age 6. you dont need lies like this to raise your children, sheesh, keep the boogie man, why lie about something children will look forward to, then cry when it isnt real? use a negative character, something kids will not be looking forward to, n when they find out its not real, they wont be as upset

JeanYves72: But is it a lie when it is kept alive through the joy in their faces. The excitement they feel. Besides, many kids keep on pretending on believing for they see the love that is behind such things. This world is so messed up. Kids should retain the mystery and wonder that makes them such pure creatures, such pinpoints of light with their love and innocence. You focus on the negative. What about the excitement of having that belief. The joy of the magic?

Why take away one of the few things that protect their innocence from the reality of the world? I have a 19 year old, 7 year old and 1 year old and even though my 7 year old knows the truth he also believes just a little as he would have a separate present from Santa.

JeanYves72: The smoke forever you are referring to in your name must be the smoke from a bong or crack pipe. You a twisted. Sound just like a Jehovah's Witness. I should know as I used to be one.

erin_hayte: I don't get what the big deal is! I grew up with believing all of them are real and I'm not bothered by it or anything. In fact, I'm going to tell my kids the same thing, Santa is real, the toothfairy, ect.

If they get all bent out of shape because of it and are still mad my the time they're 16, I'll just tell them they'll understand when they have kids. If they still are all bent out of shape then they're babies lol I would never say that! I would just ask them what the big deal was.

Bytr: It's another way to exert control over your child's mind through their imagination. I would much rather 'ave my child think of me as a beautiful fairy or think or dad as a cheery toymaker when it remembers where things come from. It is a much better 'thank you' to see the joy in their face.

JeanYves72: But then that is your ego wanting the reward of doing it rather than the reward of seeing the joy and excitement in their faces when the see Santa in the shops.

JeanYves72: Sounds like a troll. Innocence is just so vital nowadays and so short lived. They should be able to believe in the magic of Santa, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy.

barbj: I debated on even bringing up Santa to my son, but he's learned from watching Christmas shows. When I first asked her if Santa was real, she told me. Yes, that Santa is real, but only real for children, he's the spirit of Christmas for those kids that believe. And Santa is real, because he's the parent giving the gift
