Here's an example of why you shouldn't post pics of your kids.

Raven: I believe Billy posted a thread about this a couple months ago, but he is right about what he says. And here is an example why.

Okay, so there is this little fashion game site that I'm on. I have friends of all ages on there. Well there is one that has a child. Another player had come to her posting racial insults, telling her her daughter is an ugly monkey and .

So naturally, as a mother, my friend went on the attack, lol. She fought back. So what does the instagater do? She STEALS a pic of my friend's daughter with cake all over her face, and POSTS IT TO HER PROFILE. She makes fun of this little baby for having cake on her face, calls her a monkey and whatever racial slurs she happened to know in English. Above it read : "A WARNING TO RISA-****" (edited to protect identity), and on the bottom, was blackmail. Basically telling the mother, my friend, to apologize for an argument SHE started with her racial slurs. If she apologized, the picture would come down.

My friend freaked out and came to me. "As a mother yourself, what would you do?" and told me what happened. She, of course, was clearly upset. I saw the page and it angered me. I don't care WHO started it. Even if it was Risa, which of course it wasn't, you do NOT USE A CHILD. So I told her to try to find a mod, and I would do the same. "but in the meantime, take off ALL pics of kids you have on your page so she or her friends don't take any more."

I had no idea who the mods were (still don't) so I came up with my own little idea. I asked my friend for her email, and then took a screen shot of what this other player had done. I sent a copy to the mother and told her to hold on to it, and told her what to do. I then went to the other player's profile and left her a little comment. "I have taken a screen shot of what you have done, and have also sent it to Risa. What you are doing is wrong, and if you do not take it down, police will be involved. And yes, you CAN get in trouble over things you do on the net." Risa saw the comment and reassured this girl that yes, I will call the cops if you do not take my daughter off your page.

Today I checked up on everything, and apparently we scared the Hell out of her. The picture and the hate messages about Risa were gone and in their place was a HUGE apology letter to Risa, and begging her not to call the police and that she will never make fun of her daughter again.

Even so, I think Risa has learned not to post her child anywhere again.

StolenHeart: People are all talk and act so big until they realize they have messed with the wrong person. Way to go girl. When I finally went to the cops over a situation I was having, I made it known what I had done. It wasnt long before everything stopped.

Mulu: Getting down hard on the culprit as you did was a very good job. Thanks god you are there to save a friend, and to teach others to be mindful of what they do or say on the internet. Thanks Noodle for doing your part to uphold decency, morality and ethic on the net. I am amazed that you are so wise, clever, matured ,innovative and capable in so many ways...home making, gardening, arts, etc etc.....Muah my friend, I am proud of you.

I wouldn't say much about the gardening...I have 7 bald sunflowers out there now, lol. My efforts to keep the ants off didn't work. Well, it worked for the little black ones..but not the monster red ones I didn't know we had.

I love putting up my kids picks on FB to show family n friends and have every security thing in place that you can to protect their images but nothings fool proof.

Raven: Yeah, that's about the only place I have pics of the kids besides the two photo manips of them that I have in my gallery here in Wire. But I am only adding people that I know I can trust this time, and keeping my list to no longer than two pages. And the pics are set to private.

_FaTiMa_: That is just awful and sadly I am not surprised it has happened, the lengths people will go to on the internet is disgusting and I believe it is all because there is no accountability for your actions on the net, people can do and say as they please behind a veil of 'protected identity' I have never posted my children's pictures on any site (other than Facebook and I have my settings on family only) as I believe it is not my right to do so, I wouldn't post a picture of my husband either without his consent. I am careful about what I put out there on the net as once it is out there you no longer own it and it becomes fair game for all the awful people who find it necessary to belittle poeple.

Raven: that's right. I post pics in fb, but I'm set to private there, and I am very careful who I add.

monkeysmommy2010: no kid is ugly. they are always beautiful to their own parents! tell that lady..that to ignore ugly people like that..her baby is probably beautiful and always will be...or think of it like this MONKEY'S ARE ADORABLE AND CUDDLY

grpayne2010: Good for you!! I would have done the same exact thing....thats the reason I try to either keep them private and only for certain people or just dont post them at all! I had an issue with my exhusband like that...we have 2 girls together and of somehow all of his g/f's in the past have ended up with pictures of my kids at some point or another....and its infuriating!!

Victus: Before uploading a photo (family, child, him/herself) a person must think that once It's in the web anyone can take it, share it and do whatever they want. One of the reasons why I deleted my FB account and have just two pictures of myself here.

I'm so glad that the problem got solved.
