I'm single and i had my first kid 6 days before my 16th birthday .. i wouldnt advocate that as a life choice and i don't think it was particularly bright of me BUT i think its insanely judgemental of you to assume that my children have a bad life because of it. I believe I had more Patience when I was 19 and my daughter is unbelievable.she has a full time job and respect. Tell you in 11yrs how boy is. I was single mum with first and I truly believe if you are a good person you can be a good mother/father regardless of age Fred: Rosette, you CAN read that into it, but I don't think it was MEANT that way, just the callow speech habits of the young. You KNOW that I of all people know full well that kids from single-parent families can grow up strong, happy and pleased with their childhood, confident enough to do well in the world. Low income is no barrier to a happy kid, it can even help them to learn more about the world. babylove_20: but sometimes when you think you are ready and are in a relationship and it happens, then the dad leaves you and wants nothing to do with you, until the child is 3 months then he wants to move back in.... thats what happened to me, so now i am a single mom...
