Child leash Dodge: I swear to god i hate it when people use a leash to walk their children, it reminds me of guide dogs for the blind or something. oooREDEYEooo: "GIVE THE DOG A B~&y%" ..."the adult leashes are more disturbing...especially when there is a barking b%@#^ at the end of it"... oooS&M-AND-M&M's-EYEooo WabbitStew: far better to let a wilful and impulsive child run out in front of a car eh dodge that'll teach em Dodge: Okay well i see your point!! But still i think holding a hand is more effective than making it look like Crufts (dog show) for kids by having them attached to be leash. MaryJane00: The child leash is a wondefull invention, I use one on a regular basis and there are some people who look and somtimes say somthing. however I have two biological children ages 1 and 2. Also I am raising my neice who has been living with me since she born, she is only 5 and half months old.. so givin this information please explain to me how I am supposed to walk across Wal-Mark parking lot or in the mall without the help of a child leash holding the hand of two small children and carrying a car seat and a diaperbag ??? In truth I can not do it safely. My husband is gone three weeks at a time to work. So everything I do in that time has to be done alone with all three kids, when I do have the help of some one else I dont use the leash.
sophisticatedlady: Very true! it's very easy to make fun of it because it looks stupid. But I bet it really works...and at least it's not around the kids neck. hings can always be worse Grace: I used a "wrist" leash. One end attached to my son's wrist and the other to mine. I held his hand but in the event he darted...he couldn't get far. oooREDEYEooo: ..."Rod and Braden should invest in a couple of thousand for WireClub"... oooUNLEASH-EYEooo MaryJane00: The ones I use fit around the chest. its sort of like a vest with velcrow. I find it very usefull. lozzza: I wouldnt use on on my daughter shes two and if were going 2 the shops I put her in the trolley, if we are just walking and need to cross the road I hold her hand, but if I had more than three toddlers I would have to use one coz I only have two hands Sena: HAHAHA ok ok ok ok... story time!! <3 I saw a woman walking down the alley towards me , about two blocks ahead. As she came closer I saw she had a leash, and a dog. As she came closer, I thought "oh my, a three legged dog." as she came closer yet, I thought "oh my, a deranged dog?" and as she came closer yet I went "OH MY GOD THAT'S HER CHILD!" She uses it no matter what. Kid is outside, he is literally on a leash.... The thing is, I ran across the street once. And I got smacked so hard... I am not sure, but, if avoiding circumstances (using the leash) would cause the child to never learn certain lessons? I dunno. Although I will admit, I have seen silly children run through the parking lot sooo close to the highway basically having anyone and everyone dive for the kid before they make it there - especially when they hear the mother freak, believing her kid will be run over! I have also had a co-worker tell me her boyfriend, had held a dying 4 year old in his arms, her innards out of her body because she ran across and got hit badly.. So I do see the up's to the leash Also didn't they used to have the wrist leash? Looked less like a dog leash, to me. (Edited by Sena) sheritra: of course you use a leash for the kids safety.(you already use a leash inside the car....do you really think a mother is an over-something? Do you really think it is better to let your kid run free and get hit by a car? Congratulations to all, that use a leash! zxy8: A leash is terrible - the child is not an animal. People only do it so they don't have to pay attention to the child so they dont run off, e.g. being lazy. Sena: I will agree with ONE part... It is terrifying to have your kid suddenly dart off. I mean I did it as a kid (once and only once) and I was lucky the driver saw me... There has been cases of kids being held in a stranger's arms as they bleed to death, almost torn in half from a vehicle because the kid ran out of nowhere... And the parent cannot always control that. But I do think the children look like dogs. Make the kid hold your HAND. then when they are old enough not to be so silly to run into the streets, they can learn their independence.
