PLEASE Invent this Gadget How many times have you wished some Gearhead or Geek would invent something you really need? How many times did it happen but you didn't know about it? Let this be a place to plead your case or tell us where you can obtain this new, original, and really useful or desperately wanted item. Case: Oxygen tubing resolution. Reduce the physical hazard and frustration of hauling around 40 feet of oxygen tubing so you don't crush, trip, have to do 10 pirouettes to unwind yourself, or catch & rip your face off as you're moving along. Idea: What about some kind of light material reel you could hook to a belt on the hip with a hand crank or retractable mechanism? Get busy, all you brainiacs - you could save lives and property. Case: Stair hauler for bags of groceries. Save the lone, fragile individual many tiring trips up and down a flight of stairs because they can only carry 2 (6 pound) bags at a time. A contraption for outdoors would be excellent. Should be affordable and easy for anyone to rig up. Idea: Some kind of easy pulley system with a large hook to hang a couple of bags up to 30 pounds. Perhaps a manual platform lift? Found: A better mouse trap. Finally, somebody made one! Buy them on Amazon (I don't want to say brand names). It's an unimposing catch & release made of see-through plastic - a tunnel with lots of air holes. Bait with cheddar cheese. Set and place unit along the base of a wall. Check traps frequently, several times a day. You can usually hear a capture. Release the mouse outside. Killer traps leave a chemical death scent behind so mice learn to avoid them. This kind is tried and true. I found that it's more difficult to capture baby mice because they weigh next to nothing; they'll get in and out real fast, stealing the cheese. BUT, mice grow up crazy fast so be patient - tomorrow or the next day, they'll spring the mechanism. How to Keep Oxygen Tubing from Tangling? | Oxygen Tube Management System https://www.oxygenmgmtsystems.com/ Awesome, Alette. Thank You. That guy was really thinking when he made that mouse trap. It's amazing what one can do just with stuff laying around the house. I thought it was pretty neat too. I like the do it yourself you tubes. Now I just need to find someone that actually drinks soda pop. If not, I'll just have to dump the soda down the drain. I'll let you know how well it works. The stair climbers were neat too. I showed my mother and we ordered one of Amazon for her. It will help her with laundry and one hand can be free so she doesn't fall on the stairs. I've never known anyone on oxygen, terrible that a better idea hasn't been invented. I do think the one I posted has promise though. maybe some thing to attach to my glasses so they can easily be found when misplaced. Or perhaps even a way to keep putting them in the same spot so they don't get misplaced again. Well, there are eye glass chains..either metal or corded in various colours. Some of them are very nice, just slip on to the arms anywhere you like and tighten. When not on your face, they're on your chest. As for myself, my glasses are like my car keys - there's only 2 places I ever put them, no matter what. I made it a law. (Edited by Zanjan) www.amazon.com/tag8-Dolphin-Bluetooth-Spectacles-Rechargeable/dp/B0BZDK6PWJ/ Small GPS locator for eyeglasses 👓 (Edited by Hello happywave) that's what i had on my mind solittle, however i still don't know if it could do the job - having read the details of it. There are many other locator tags available, many of them less expensive than these Dolphin ones, though slightly larger. If you attached a cord to the glasses, you could attach the locator tag to the cord. So even if you took the glasses off, you could still find them with the locator tag. (Edited by Hello happywave) i thought i couldn't since it won't pinpoint the exact location of the glasses. also plan b is to actually start storing them in the same place. I would assume the intention of these locator gadgets is to pinpoint the exact location of the items they are attached to. That's the purpose they are sold for, and if they didn't do that I doubt they'd sell very many. From my reading of the ratings, it's not precise. It will show you how far away you left them, like your garage, patio, south wing of the house, maybe at work. For example, I'd left my glasses in what I thought was the living room somewhere so I searched in the most likely places. It's not a big room. Apparently, I'd broken my law. Finally, after wasting 30 minutes, I spotted them in that room in the most unlikely place. THEN I remembered I'd taken them off to use the binoculars. I think what's needed at home is a hot-cold ping - something akin to a Geiger counter. (Edited by Zanjan) Here's a much less expensive product. It beeps when you press the locator button, so you should be able to locate it precisely. There are others that have flashing lights to do the same thing. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WF7LTRW/ " what does "I broke my law" mean? " Same for car keys - to only set them down in 2 places in my house, nowhere else. i guess it is easier to take off the glasses anywhere and then place them anywhere and it's not like they have a keyholder to hang them on but perhaps it can be done. I mean even you broke your law so it is harder apparently. | Off Topic Chat Room Similar Conversations |
