Mr_Snugs_the_Bear: I Had a Dream Where I was in a Mental Hospital...All I Remember of the Dream I Picked a Bunch of Flowers and an Image of a Faceless Woman in Long Yellow Flowing Dress and a Voice Telling Me "She Tried to Choke You" then I woke up...

What Does it all Mean ???

thr33: You felt suffocated by some woman in your life ... It caused you a lot of mental distress... But picking flowers means that you're healing and worked through it. The yellow dress means you're resilient and bounce back from adversity well... You might need to let go of some of the defensiveness you've put on like an armor to protect yourself after this past relationship. Might be time to let some of that wall down and let more people in...

I just pulled all of that out of my ass and Google searches.

Mr_Snugs_the_Bear: Thank Thr33...Food for thought...

Maybe You can Help Me out with this...I used to always have this Reaccuring Nightmare where I was Being Chased and the Only thing that kept me ahead of them were Fear...I developped Paranoid Schizphrenia and one of the Symptoms were People are out to get Me and I lived in fear for Years...

The question I ask Myself..."Did My Nightmare Become My Reality ???

thr33: I just looked all of that up ... It seems like he main theme of both being chased in dreams is about stress and unresolved stressors or avoiding something unpleasant that is happening in real life. I cut and pasted this from a site about dreams of schizophrenia -----

"The dream is a metaphor for feelings of unimportance, helplessness, and unworthiness. Instead of merely waiting for things to happen, you need to be more receptive to other people.

In a certain circumstance or issue, you cannot move forward. Your dream serves as a metaphor for outmoded beliefs, previous connections, and old ways of thinking. You cannot turn around."------

As for if the nightmare became reality... I'm sorry it feels that way. I think reality these days can certainly make a person feel like they have to stay hyper vigilant to stay ahead of the rat race. Life and all the various stresses we face can very much make us feel like we've lost our sanity or that we're stuck in an endless nightmare sometimes. I hope you're in a position where you can reach out and talk to someone you trust or a health professional if you think you need some help.

(But maybe you'll find some encouragement in knowing that a lot of times people who fear they're going insane, aren't actually crazy at all but just super anxious. The people who are actually truly in severe states of delusion can't even tell that they're delusional any more. A lot of times anxiety will tell you you're going crazy though even if you're truly not. Here is a link that might help.... https://www.calmclinic.com/anxiety/symptoms/going-crazy)
