I took harlett: this bag of frozen kernel corn I found in my freezer, threw it in my food processor frozen let it rip... yes it was noisy....I then threw it into a pot I had put half of a rough chopped onion & bell pepper i was softening with a bit of butter... did a hmmmm look around my freezer and saw several little containers of oven roasted poblano peppers I had oven roasted whole ..threw a container of 1 into the yet washed food processor let it rip...threw it onto the corn onion and bell peppers that were softening... hmmmm I kept thinking....I ahhhh ha... threw the corn and peppers and onion into my no leak blender with a cup of chicken stock and let it rip.... eeeeee I then had this smooth lite yellow with green tint soup.. well almost soup..i had to add more chicken stock a splash or two of milk or half &half.. season it to my personal taste.... then I thought do I want to strain out the nearly none vegetable fiber....I decided I didn't... walla.... I just made dreamy lightly spicy cream of corn soup..... I always have a small container of oven roasted poblano peppers in my freezer...I rinse them put them in a oven proof glass pan roast till tender.. pull the stem free then freeze....that's the only seeding of poblano's that I do.. it's a mild very flavorful spicy pepper...dark green... that gets darker when roasted.. that's right..you can modify the recipe for a adult taste and just use the poblanos minus the corn...use beef or vegetable stock instead of chicken stock.. I throw a polano's into my homemade tomato soup..dreamy oven roasted broccoli soup..you get the notion.....
