Wire club is dead as a doornail irondominator: Anyone else agree/disagree? You would think with the huge database of members, there would be a hell of a lot more activity on here; but there simply isn't. I have looked through profiles to see people that haven't been here in 8 years or more. In fact, where I live, there aren't any members who still have an account. I believe that at least 90% of the member database no longer use wire club for social media. Yeah, I would imagine Facebook killed wire club, but I think for people (such as myself) who aren't hard core social media people, a place like this could be better. Boxing Satan: I think it was at least usable with computers but smart phones dont mix well with old school chat rooms imho. Also Wire staryed cracking down and making room hosts paranoid. He's under a microscope in the public eye and because of that he's going to be picked on about every little thing. Lots of people complain about their data being shared, yet they willingly disclose everything about themselves online anyway. Facebook is free. No one should complain about it because they aren't required to use it. I never had a Facebook and never will because I think it's a waste of my time. I'm a very private person and I don't like to be in the limelight. Facebook expects you to be active on it daily, feeding it more information about yourself. I like wired because it is low profile, but at the same time, I feel there should be more traffic, particularly in the forums. Facebook definitely took most of the users away from wired, as they prefer to spend all their social media time on Facebook. I do wish that there was some kind of filter that can be used to hide all the users that haven't been online for a year or more. They're most likely not going to be coming back again, but they keep popping up in searches. Seems there are a lot of dead profiles, perhaps 75% of them. flamingred: I hate facebook , don't have the time and hate all the crap that comes into your account took me forever to get rid of it alexgal9999999: NEVER HAD IT NEVER WOULD LOSE YOUR PRIVACY YOU CANT EVEN BUY IT BACK EVERYONE WANTS TO BE A MOVIE STAR WHY WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO BE PROUD OF WITH THEIR GLUTTONY GREED GUILE LACK OF EVERYTHING THAT EVER MATTERED๐ด sunnyhaze2006: Ya it's been dead for awhile now, but with summer and families being busy, I'm not surprised. Waves at Wonder Woman chronology: Wireclub is not 'dead' it is just not filled with the bloggers who take to the web to vent their spleen during run up's to elections or at times of war. The hey day of wire was just after the Iraq situation when the so called 'peace movement' took to the web in droves to talk down efforts to liberate Iraq. People in support of Iraq being brought back into the International community defended the U.S. efforts to do so. The sparks flew indeed during those often angry debates on wire. Mr Trump running an unprecedented smear, as some saw him, also brought many to wire to try and appose his election. Actually, Mr Trump's obnoxious and offencive speeches, were no more vitriolic or fantasy ridden than Mr Reagan's in 1979. While Mr Reagan mused about 'ballencing the budget' Mr Trump weaves sci fi stories about a mythical wall between the U.S. and Mexico. Wire will get lively again when the U.S heads for the next Presidential Election. With Democrats convinced they have been swindled out of at least three recent elections the debate may get even more extreme than during the Iraq liberation. 'Voter Machines' will be the subject. The most regretible loss to wire has been the abscence of the colourful members like Outback Jack and Lori 'the conspiracy queen of wire' . | Off Topic Chat Room Similar Conversations |
