Colorful and Adventurous Life

Sage of Bryan
Sage of Bryan: Do you have a colorful story from your past...? An adventurous tale...? Have you ever rescued anyone, been rescued...? I would like to hear and share any stories concerning these points

I consider my life to have been very colorful and adventurous. I have punched cows in Montana in the early nineteen-sixties. I drove logging truck in California for fifteen years. I've plowed many sections in the fields of Kansas. I was retired from Hewlett-Packard after fifteen years.

I did a hitch in the United States Navy and visited most Pacific ports. I've wrecked two logging trucks, was hurt by a wild pony in Montana. After my Navy tour, I traveled the United States. Been in all states except Alaska and the eastern seaboard. My mode of travel was the box-car of a freight train I've many stories about those days. I've served time in five different states. Small stuff such as vagrancy, drunk in public, stealing rides on trains.

I am a bonafied-dyed-in-the-wool-genuine-card-carrying Hill-Billy from the Ozark mountains of North-Eastern Arkansas. My father was born and raised in the Illinois Ozarks in the South-Western part of the state. Although they are referred to as Ozarks, they are more commonly known as the Shawnee Hills.

I can be as serious as the situation calls for, but I'm mostly a witty fellow. My words, both oral and written, are laced with witticism. I left school when I was sixteen, but never lost my thirst for knowledge.

i am self educated and can carry on a decent conversation with anyone about Science, Astronomy, History and Religion. Though I'm not interested in blogging about religion or politics on this site. Those subjects call for a debate. I would like this thread to be about an exchange of stories and experiences.
