Freaky Stories

Captain Klix: I love hearing stories of points in peoples life where they had never been more scared in their life. I'll start.

This was actually a year or two ago meaning I was still in high school at the time. I had just walked into my kitchen to get a drink late at night. After pouring myself something, I began to drink it when I heard a scream that sounded exactly like a small child. The glass almost dropped out of my hand as my eyes widened and my heart skipped a few beats. I quickly put the glass down and ran to get my mother's boyfriend John(fake name), who had also heard the scream and had gotten to his feet before I had gotten to the room. We decided that we should probably go look just in case someone was injured outside. It wasn't until we had gone outside and gotten to the garage that another scream cracked into the night. We both looked at each other, goosebumps all over, and smiled as we made our way back into the woods following the screeches. We walked for a long ways, the screaming creature always close but just far enough away that we couldn't see what it was. We had been out for about an hour before we decided to turn back and go home. Suddenly the screeching stopped. We both knew that we were less scared of not knowing what was making the sound but more of why it stopped so suddenly. We moved very quickly back to the house, telling my mother all of the details when we arrived. We later found out that the screeching we heard last night was actually a foxes mating call.

In short, we were scared by the call to bone.
