I have been here long enough to realise that most men don't even upload a picture of themselves and if they do it's 10 years younger or something. Also, these are the oneswho go on a rampage about fake profiles. "Are you a fake" "Are you a trans" "Show your boobs or gtfo" We ( females) are so used to hearing those things on here that we don't even realise how degrading it is. Men, on the other hand, are usually the ones doing detective's job. Maybe, we should post our vagina picture with our name written on it to prove some third class men who shits in diaper and is, apparently, a chat hero that we are actually females. Touchable1: The solution is actually very easy, a dedicated ( internet supplier given Email account) to be a requirement to join and people can only have 1. Many small businesses have that online so it isn't hard to set up. However sites like this know that most users don't want their Wife/husband/parents to know they're here and wouldn't join in fear of being caught. AGAIN, an easy fix, once membership is approved the user has the option in settings to choose which email account any contact is to be sent to. At least this way, and abusive troll types are removed once and can never return, and nobody can have more than 1 account....as is stated in Wireclub rules, yet many here have 5,6 or more accounts, almost the exact same name and same photo's?? How does that fit into terms of use and why aren't all of that users accounts deleted??  Zanjan: Yes, it could be easily done.....perhaps there's a staff shortage? When I registered, it took 2 weeks before I was cleared to post on Wire. They can easily find my location by my IP address. Anonymity has its advantages in that people can speak freely about their lives, their desires, their thoughts and positions on various issues without fear of retribution for having an opinion. Some ideas could cost certain people their jobs. But, to every advantage is a disadvantage and it will always be so. If we trust the mods are reasonably fair in their judgment of erased posts and accounts, then we, as ordinary posters have to sacrifice something in order to pay for our *public* anonymity. Only the admin would have a clue to our reality, the privacy of which they'd honour. Think: if we accept this, we could have folks like the Pope and some Presidents posting here. Imagine how we peons would cut through the crowds and all the lobbyists to lend new ideas to those who rule! I'm not opposed to a troll as long as they have good ideas and/or questions. They're needed sometimes. However, there should be no double standard; they, like everyone else have to follow rules. I think if someone has several different accounts (must be a limitation), they need to undergo extra conditions with the admin, losing some privacy. They need to demonstrate they're not abusing that freedom, that they have a good purpose and must follow through with that. (Edited by Zanjan) Zanjan: My mom has been dead for many years. Touchable1: Yep @ Zanjan, My point regarding multiple profiles and obvious WHO they are is, that it IS a condition of Wire that a person can only have 1 account, so why aren't the obvious more than 1 accounters permanently removed and banned? ..maybe 1 chance first. I just don't see any reasonable or legitimate reason to have more than 1  As for IP tracking, usb internet connections change their IP every time they are turned on, therefore a service provider E-mail account IS the only real way to ensure a person only has 1 account, and Admin approved if their wife/husband/son/daughter etc want an account on Wire. It would remove a hell of a lot of the abusive fight mongering users who are the majority for my evenings ( Australia). Zanjan: They're fake personalities, inserted into dead conversations to spark them into continuing. They have multiple accounts. Trolls are usually ugly, like the fairy tales. Sometimes they're funny; other times, they're thought -provoking. Mostly, they pick fights just to make a topic appear more active than it really is. Some are indecently offensive in an attempt to create doubts and swing people's positions to one side. Of course, some posters are just naturally in that sort of mood. Some appear to be about 13 years old. Trolls are consistent in their MO; they rarely tell stories about their own lives.......sooner or later, cracks appear in their persona and other posters start guessing who they actually are. Beside a post, you see the thumbs Up or Down button - use it generously. Beware: Trolls often put a thumbs up beside their own post. Also, they rarely use the "Edit" feature, since they're either not considerate of others, or are pulling from copy-pasted scripts.
