But since we are on the topic, in 2014 big giant socialist, Bernie Sanders introduced the largest veterans bill in decades. It would have cost 22 billion and it was voted down by 41 senators. All 41 were Republican. And those Republicans stood together on the steps of capital hill after voting against this bill and said we couldn't afford it and then later that very same week the very same 41 Republicans approved a 660 billion tax cut for corporations. AlienFlyer: When harletts talks about people not caring for the safety of others I'm assuming she's talking about the Republican domestic policies that strip away help to the poor and strip funding from things like epa which keeps air land and water clean from pollution, public school which brings education to 90% of the country and planned parenthood which brings health services to pregnant and non pregnant women which will result in a rise in abortions because of the loss of easily accessible birth control and cancer screenings and stripping things like health care away from 29 million Americans which will result in estimated 40000 deaths per year. It's literally the same coverage people have gotten through private insurance before obamacare. It's provided by private insurance companies. The only part that has changed was obamacare requires private insurers to accept people with pre existing conditions on the agreement that healthy people actually acquire health insurance before they get sick(mandate). And this deal was only made because Republicans forced this via filibuster because their concerns weren't millions of uninsured American citizens but rather private corporations- the insurance industry. If the Democrats got their way, there would have been a public option and no mandate. But Republicans were going to bat for corporations as they always do. When it comes to celebrities, it's the Republican party who literally voted in Reagan, who didn't know anything and wrecked the economy beyond repair with trickle down economics which is nothingore than socialism for the rich. And they voted in trump, a celebrity who knows nothing about politics, constitutional law, and appears to be the biggest authoritarian ever elected in our history. Arnold Schwarzenegger, another celebrity who was elected by Republicans and has basically done nothing in office but roll over. And the new guy the Republicans elected was some dildo from the TV show real world Boston.. When Rahm Emanuel puts forth a guideline for Democrats to win and one of the strategies is yo run celebrity Democrats in low educated Republican strong holds, there's a reason why.  davidk14: .
