Sexting Cheating or Not? PatsfanNH: Do you feel that sexting is a form of cheating? I am opening up the debat by saying,it is my opinion that it is not cheating. In that, i find it no different then watching porn, read an erotic novel etc. Now lets get this debat going. SillySally8: oops missed the erotic novels...yeah..again..not the same...its a book  I remain of the mind..if you are doing something with another person while in a commited relationship, that would make the other person hurt or upset..probably best to not do it! PatsfanNH: Once again a valid point. But my pint is this...an erotic novel just like porn is made to excite you. Sexting although with another person does the same. I do believe that there is a line not be crossed. Then it does become cheating. Can a couple have a healthy relationship if rhe hubby is s3xting and the wife reads eritic novels and later in the evening the make dynamite live with each other.  Mell01: Sexting is different, because you are actively engaging with another person. Not an inanimate object such as a book, computer or tv. PatsfanNH: I will agree with you. But do you believe it is chesting. The end result is basically the same. Sexual excitement. PatsfanNH: I thank you for your opnion. I would agree with the first part wholeheartedly. I wojld need to take the totality of the situation to make the deal breaker decison.  Katie_a: Well, when guys on here say to me "I'm married but would love to take you out!" and I say "no," they always reply with "lol, just joking." Sexting isn't cheating all the time the person you're sexting treats it as a joke. If I were to take the flirty guys seriously, they'd be buying a plane ticket just so they can get some. That's not reflection on how hot I think I am, but the low standards of the lonely guys here. Katie_a: So sexting isn't cheating if the person you're sexting doesn't want sex. It will soon become cheating if they do.
