I think in general women appreciate acknowledgment whether via a nice compliment or smile when they've put in the effort to look attractive.

deleteduser: It doesn't always necessarily bother a woman when a man looks at her, it depends how and if any disrespect was meant by it. Another thing is that you assume women wear makeup specifically for men, when not everyone who wears makeup is a woman, and not all women wear it for anyone other than themselves. Have you ever thought that a woman wears this or that or carries herself a certain way because it simply makes her feel more comfortable and confident with herself?
