Jungle Book REVIEW

King Karma
King Karma: SPOILER WARNING

So I just saw the new Jungle book and there are some key differences between the two.

The original movie which was animated was about a boy who enters the jungle, has fun with his animal friends and has to go home when the tiger Share Kon wants to kill him. In the end of the first movie Mogley is taken home to live with his own kind. He does manage to scare off the tiger at the end of the film.

Movie two is where Mogley is in the man village but he misses the Jungle but is forbidden from going back since the man village tells him that the Jungle is dangerous. Mogley misses his home and this shows you can take the man out of the jungle but not the Jungle out of the man.

NEW Movie

The Film is a little different and Mogley make a lot of freinds along the way. Which notice him as a man cub but he is told to live as an animal not as a man. At the end he comes back to defeat Share Kon who is creating havac in the village. Just like in the first movie everyone in the village knows who the Tiger is and is terrified of him. The Tiger aims to disrupt the peace in the village and at the end Mogley bravely faces off against the tiger and says "Im not afraid of you". Mogley is backed by the rest of the village which works together to destroy Kon and Bugara says "Stop fighting him like a wolf, fight him like a human, thats what you are". Mogley and the entire village together ends the riegn of Shar Kon and Mogley does not have to go back to the Man Village.

This shows that what you are should not define where you belong. Mogley did not belong in the village, he was raised in the wild, he was a wild child. I think this new version has a much deeper message and this ending is completly resolved. Its a open shut ending and if they decided to not make a second film this film will stand pretty well on this own.
