chronology: Dallas Police Detectives in the Hall of Mirrors.

If any Police Department in History had an impossible task of solving a crime 'to the satisfaction' of the public Dallas P.D. must surly have faced such a challenge with JFKs murder.

For most people there is no doubt that Lee Oswald was the 'lone gunman' . Steven King the horror writer is 99.9pc certain Oswald acted alone, he commented one time 'I just cannot understand why Norman Mailer is only 75pc certain of Oswald's guilt' .

But as the years go by small items of data add to confuse an even more bewildering case. A man going over papers released under the Freedom Of Information Law discovered an urgent memo to J.Edgar Hoover from an FBI Agent in New Orleans. It contained the still redacted name of a man with six letters in his name who was in the address book of a murdered research scientist. 'Six letters' ? hmmmmm could it be ....... he did some checking and found that one person claimed to have seen O s w a l d in the company of the woman at least once, not much to go on, and in reflection that was not surprising given the woman was working in close association with David Ferrie. It was suggested Oswald had been cleaning up Ferrie's kitchen after experimental items had been used there. Also that David and scientist were engaged in secret experiments to murder Mr Castro of Cuba, clearly a nonsense cover story. Dallas Detectives would also have noted the conclusion that New Orleans Police came to that the woman had been murdered by a sex killer was unlikely. The woman had died after a massive electric charge had ripped her arm off, and died few weeks after Lee Oswald. And Sabatage rather than an accident would have occurred to Dallas PD.

The only interest Detectives from Dallas would have had was 'where did Oswald fit into all this? and what was Ferrie and his seemingly mad scientist cooking up in their Labs' ? And was the woman's death connected to JFK? and was Oswald's arrogant attitude rebuffing their questions linked to his activities with the Lab experiments, and where the Lab experiments somehow connected to JFKs murder?

As ever there is no 'proof' at all for any of these accusations, but there is no doubt Ferrie was mixed up with some kind of medical science experiments. Given Ferries associates, illegal drugs would be the first suspicion people would entertain, the Drug Enforcement Agency would have swooped on his home.

For Dallas Police it must have been one more pile of paper to deal with, and one more suspicion to eliminate 'was Oswald mixed up with Drug Cartels' ?

chronology: Sydney Reilly Britain's greatest ever Spy?

Sydney is hailed by some people as the greatest Spy Britain ever had of the 20th century. But who was Sydney? well wireclubbers his origins are as mysterious as he was, one account has him starting life as an illegitimate street kid from the slums of Brazil. While acting as a Guide for a British Jungle Spy Operation, Sydney (then with the Latin American name of Pedro) saved the lives of the team and wad was rewarded with a British Passport and a gift of cash and given employment in Britain's Spy Organisation. Another story has Sydney as the son of a woman from Russia, no one knew his father. Still another story has him as the son of a Merchant Marine Sailor.

How Sydney wound up mixed in with espionage is anyone's guess. But he is said to have thwarted South African Boer weapons deliveries, purchased large Oil contracts from Iran, stolen German weapons plans and even came close to overthrowing the Bolsheviks in Russia. alas, the street kid from Brazil was to find the Russian adventure his last.

For a great Spy, he was captured with amazing ease by the Bolsheviks, they simply set up an anti communist group in Russia, then waited for Sydney to approach them, Sydney did and when he crossed into Russia was arrested. He was shot in 1925 secretly in a forest in Russia.

MI6 has never commented on any of the news stories about Sydney, this is their Official Policy regarding all their Spies, real or mythical, but Sydney anyway was a real person executed by Russia for Spying.

chronology: Spontanious Human Combustion in Germany.

A woman sat on a Park Bench in Germany suddenly burst into flames for no apparent reason. The incident is being treated as a suspected case of SHC.

Scientists still cannot agree whether SHC is real or that people are simply the victims of unlikely fires. Human digestive systems produce highly flammable gasses in their final motions, sewage systems around the world are always exploding from these gasses, so what is mysterious about people sometimes bursting into flames, comment some scientists.

In the Book of Job, the Devil is said to have used SHC to kill some of Job's children, the SHC was called 'Fire from Heaven' in Job.

chronology: Lee Oswald has the phone off the hook in the 'other world'

A curious point about Lee Oswald is that for someone who loved nothing more than an microphone and a attentive News reporter listening to him, he has been surprisingly quiet on ....... 'the other side' .

Perhaps a reason for Lee not 'coming through' is that anyone who considered themselves libelled by 'Lee' (or whoever the heck is chattering away from the shadowland) may lose no time taking legal action against the Medium for slander. One man accused by a Dutch Psychic in 1975 of setting up Lee as a fall Guy and masterminding the murder of Mr Kennedy for Texas Oil Barons commented that he considered suing the Psychic. 'The Guy lived in the Netherlands and an International Legal Action would have been expensive, on top of that the Guy was broke so I would have got no money' he reflected.

Not just Psychics but practitioners of Reverse Speech can find themselves in expensive litigation battles. After being accused of certain things after his words were reversed an infuriated person took a man to court seeking damages for slander.

So beware wireclubbers, if the tea leaves or Ouija Board is telling you something about someone, better be able to back up your accusations if he takes you to court.

chronology: 'Paul did die says Ringo' (well no wireclubbers, not really)

The Web was buzzing with the story that Ringo Starr, the former Beatles drummer had called a Press Conference at his home in Hollywood California to unburden himself of a fear of dieing without telling the world the truth that Paul 'did' die in 1966 and was replaced by a lookalike. For millions of American Babyboomers this would be a shocking revelation, they grew up enjoying Beatles music throughout the 1960s.

There is a problem, Ringo is not depressed or troubled by near death fears, he is happily married to the love of his life Ms Barbara Bach, the two have been in love for years. Second, the story was faked by an American Hoaxter Web site that pushes fake stories on the Web.

We have already dealt with the 'Paul is dead' conspiracy on the Trivia Thread. It began in the early 1970s when a number of American Beatle Fans began noticing changes in Paul's appearance after September 1966, around the time of a rumour Paul had died in an automobile crash. Doubles were being used by the group members for security reasons after death threats and the hysteria of audiances while on tour. By 1966 the Band was finding it was little fun being a Beatle after John's bad taste comment about Jesus Christ. If American fans were giving them 'the finger' and calling them 'd"ckheads' fans in the Phillipines were chasing them through cities trying to rip them apart. From September 1966 onwards, Paul does seem to have been replaced by a double for many photoshoots and public events.

Today Ringo spends his time living in England and the U.S.A. if you ever meet him with his beloved wife Barbara you may try asking him about if Paul really did die, or maybe quietly left the group.

chronology: 'Things that go 'bump' in the sky'

Some long serving operators of Emergency Service telephone numbers have quite a history of dealing with certain catagories of calls. The calls begin with a caller reporting a aircraft flying dangeriously low over the ground, so low it must have crashed after the caller saw it disappear over some trees or a hill. Other callers phone in with reporting seeing the same plane, usually an very old propeller driven aircraft. The Operators have to respond and dispatch details to Fire Rescue Engines who search the presumed crash site of the plane and find nothing. A check with Air Traffic Control confirms that no aircraft are listed in the area either passing through or landing or taking off.

What people have seen, or think they have seen, is 'ghost planes' images of planes for some reason that still appear in the sky.

While the aircraft may seem genuine, their mode of flight is usually highly unlikely, either flying with all their internal lights on at night or flying so low they could not possibly maintain stability for long. Hence the calls to emergency telephone operators. 'Ghost Aircraft' are seen in every country of the world, and while some sightings can be dismissed, others are genuinely bewildering. Firecrews who talk to witnesses to gather more information about the 'lost' aircraft, often remark the witnesses are not attention seekers or naïve victims of practical jokers, they are sincere people who insist they did see an aircraft. Aircrew, presumably from crashed aircraft, are also seen at times under unexplicable circumstances. A walker in the early morning near a lake used for bombing practice runs during WW2 reported seeing an odd light on the waters edge. When he looked closer he saw a airman from the 1940s walk out of the lake with his back on fire and walk into nearby trees and vanish.

Despite having no mountains, only hills, England was a deadly territory for early flyers. The rolling hills were deceptive at night time and dozens of Bombers crashed at night killing all air crew on board. Today the wreckage of downed planes can still be seen high on deserted hills. And there are spooky tales linked to them. Two chums took home a few pieces of Perspex from one crash site after a visit to the hills, they were to have a terrifying experience. At night time in their home they heard what sounded like a big cat or bear outside their home, the huge animal was breathing heavily and sniffing as if looking for something. Next day, the chums took the piece of wreckage back to the crash site and eiry night time visits to their home stopped.

Sceptics dismiss practically every such story as unconfirmed and usually second hand or third hand reports. They use examples of the 'ghostly DC3 ' seen flying in England some years ago. 'There was in fact a DC3 in the air at the time some distance away from where the 'ghostly' plane was seen. All you need is a mix up of just where the plane was seen, and hey presto, you have a flying 'ghost plane' they argue.

chronology: 'To my good friend George ........... '

One of the most contested items of evidence in the JFK murder was the photographs found in Ruth Pain's garage of Lee with his Mannlicher rifle and his reading material. But the photographs may have a pretty mundane origin. Many folks agree Lee took the photographs himself, adding a dash of crude 'photoshop' style of editing to enhance his image.

The photographs may have their beginning in a brief meeting Lee had with George De Mohrenschildt, yet another of Lee's highly unlikely acquaintances. While in Fort Worth, Mr De Mohrenschildt called around to see Lee at his home after hearing Lee had been a defector to the U.S.S.R. While talking to Lee George quipped 'it was not you who took a shot at General Walker was it' ? when he asked that question, Lee's complexion blanched and he looked blankly at George. George assured him he was only joking and Lee regained his demeanour. Some time later George received a letter from Lee with the photograph of Lee hefting his Mannlicher. On the back of the photograph was written 'to my good friend George' Handwriting experts have concluded the writing was Lee's but that another line reading 'Hunter of Fascists Ha Ha ' in Russian was not Lee's, it was probably Marina's.

George lost track of the photograph but found it in 1967, 4 years after two similar photographs were found by Dallas PD in Ruth Pain's garage. It was only in 1967 that George realised that the photograph may have been Lee's joking response to his question about shooting at General Walker.

chronology: The Mystery of JFKs 'Death Car'

It is said you can see the car Mr Kennedy was slain in in a museum to this day, however another story says the car was crushed a week after the shooting in Dallas, so what happened to the car?

First, one must consider the President's Lincoln was not like a car you would buy yourself, although it looked just like any Lincoln, it was modified with 200.000 dollars worth of innovations for Parades. Another point is that the car was not U.S. Government Property, it was a 'Hire' car from Ford Motors.

The Limo was flown to Texas the day before Nov 22 on a U.S. Air Force C130 Hercules. On the day of the assassination the Lincoln was flown out of Texas on the same C130 and parked up at the White House. There has always been confusion about what happened to the car after it returned to Washington.

Some reports say the car was crushed a week after the shooting, but staff at Ford in Dearborn distinctly remember the car being delivered to the factory there for it's usual service late in December. A Secret Service Agent had driven the car along the wintery roads to Ford, a military helicopter shadowing the car overhead as it drove the chilly route to Michigan. In Deerborne a Ford old timer remembered being called over his radio to go and deal with the car. He said he had to rip out the carpets and replace the windscreen. 'The carpets were a mess' he recalled.

The man appears to confirm something conspiracy theorists dance around, that there was a 'hole in the windscreen' they would claim made by a bullet. Unfortunately this contradicts a memory of a service man at the White House who remembered the windscreen being replaced a few days after the shooting, he remembered 'they (the Secret Service) were always tinkering with the windscreens, they changed it over a dozen times that I remember over a few years' . The Secret Service would use the car for security training.

As far as we know wireclubbers, the 'Death Car' was returned to the White House to continue it's service.

Was there a hole in the windscreen? well in the early hours of Nov 23rd two FBI Agents examined the car, one ran his hand down the inside of the windscreen and found nothing, no hole at all. But a doctor at Parkland Hospital insists she saw a hole in the windscreen. Two Dallas Police Officers also commented on seeing the hole. The problem here is it is impossible for a bullet to explode through a windscreen and not be noticed by the driver or Governor Connelly. And it beggars belief that both men would lie about the fact. There is also the problem of where the supposed shooter would have shot from. One researcher who stood on the assassination spot in Dealey Plaza could find no reasonable place any assassin could have fired from without being seen. also, no injuries on JFK tire in with such a shot.
The logical conclusion is that the hole had been there before the assassination, a Secret Service oversight.

chronology: Howard and Jimmy.

Mr Jimmy Hoffa and Mr Howard Hughes were unlikely friends to say the least.Jimmy a hard working family man who nothing more than being with his wife and family around the meal table enjoying family life, while Howard loved nothing more than being in complete secrecy, no family no friends. How did these two Americans come to know each other, or as well as anyone could know Howard?

It all began when Howard was given the biggest cheque ever given to an individual in history, 500.000.000. dollars, a huge amount in 1966. It was for his share of TWA which he was forced to sell. Howard instantly realised he had a problem; 'Tax' if he did not invest his money Howard would be Taxed on his cash. He had discovered the Tax avoidance advantages of owning a Hotel and he was delighted with Nevada's State Income Tax level 'Zero' it had no State incomeTax, so Howard wanted to own Hotels in Las Vegas and live there. The problem was Las Vegas was controlled by Gangsters and when Howard enquired into purchasing Casinos from Gangsters they told him to go and .......... well you know what. But Howard would not give in, he asked his former FBI aid if there was any way he could persuade the Mob to let him buy into the delicious tax free world of Vegas. The ex FBI man thought he knew a way. Mr Hoffa invested heavily in Las Vegas real estate and the last person the Mob wanted to upset was Jimmy, without Jimmy there was no loans for building more Casinos. So the aid called Jimmy and explained his predicament. Jimmy listened and concluded he could help Howard. He then called Las Vegas and told the Mob there to leave Howard alone if he wanted to buy into real estate there. On paper anyway, Howard then moved to Las Vegas, but IRS Agents probably concluded this was another tax avoidance scam. It could have been Howard walking around in bandages and sunglasses and smashing holes in Hotel walls, it could also have been Charlie Chaplin under those bandages. And as Howard wore gloves all the time, there were no fingerprints left anywhere for them to check out.

chronology: The 'Car' travels to collect it's next passenger ...................

OK wireclubers feel free to imagine the opening music from the movie 'The Shining' as you picture JFKs Limo driving across the frosty cold landscape of Michigan to Dearborn in Dec 1963. Now consider this, Mr Jimmy Hoffa would vanish around 22 miles from where the car was refitted by Ford in 1975, yikes, that's creepy.

chronology: Los Angles to Tokyo in 6 hours on 'Son of Concord'

Airbus Industries are planning a replacement for Concord that will fly at the same speed but able to fly longer distances.

But hold on wirecluers 'Son of Concord' is more like a Private Jet carrying only 12 passengers.

Concord London to New York return tickets cost 16.000 dollars U.S. 'Son of Concord' Tokyo to LA will possibly cost 70.000 dollars one way.

chronology: 'Sphinx' found on Mars?

Well it could be a Sphinx, or maybe it is just a shape in the Martian sands. But images sent back by NASA Martian Rover have conspiracy theorists imagination in overdrive. They are speculating that if an Egyptian style culture existed on Mars then hey, there could be Mummies and records buried in the Martian sands. And in a few decades they see NASA Astronauts opening a Martian King Tut Temple.

Well for now we have a squiggly shape in the sands of Mars, but hey wireclubbers Nineveh was discovered after someone noticed strange hill shapes in the deserts of Iraq.

If any remains of a civilisation on Mars is found to have an Egyptian style then NASA may find itself in Legal disputes with Egypt about excavation rights and responsibilities.

chronology: Where was Lee?

A question some people ask is 'where was Lee Oswald when JFK was shot' ? Well wireclubbers if we are to be strictly legalistic we would have to say 'no one knows' and that would have been bad news for Lee's defence team. We know Lee was definitely seen on the 5th floor of the TSBD by two coworkers, they were going down in a elevator and saw Lee stood on the 5th floor. Another worker who had been on the 6th floor where the shots would come from saw Lee on the 5th floor as he went down in the elevator for lunch. He discovered he had left his cigarettes in his coat and went back up to the 6th floor, he now saw Lee on the 6th floor, alone.
Lee seems to have gone down to the ground floor and went into a staff room around 12pm. A few minutes later he was seen eating a sandwich in the 2nd floor canteen. But, and this is the damning point for Lee, at the time of the shooting no one saw Lee anywhere. Around 6 people outside the TSBD saw a man roughly matching Lee's description at the window with a rifle at the time of the shooting, but not a single person in the building could see Lee at this time, and that is bad news for any defence team.

It has become part of American folklore that Motorcycle Officer Baker confronted Lee in the staff room moments after the shooting, but some researchers doubt this. The believe the Officer confused the sequence of events. Lee himself said the Officer first stopped him when he was coming down the stairs, when going 'room to room' later Officer Baker again confronted Lee. It must have been a truly heart stopping moment for Lee when Officer Baker walked up to him a second time with his gun drawn and pointing at Lee's face.

So wireclubbers 'where was Lee during the shooting of JFK' the answer is no one knows, but at least 6 people saw a man much like him with a rifle at the shooters window.

chronology: Inclement weather.

During the sad event in Dallas, at the moment of the shooting, some Police Officers thought they saw a bullet strike the turf near JFKs car, a man thought he was hit in the face by a 'bullet fragment' other people thought they heard 'a bullet pass them' there is no evidence at all for any additional shots being fired other than those noted by the Warren Commission, so what were people seeing and hearing? Perhaps Motorcycle Officer Baker has the best and simplest explanation.

Officer Baker was riding near the President's car when at the moment of the shooting he was almost blown off his motorcycle by a strong gust of wind that surged through Dealey Plaza at the moment of the first shot. The wind was so strong it almost tipped his bike over. Mr Baker was riding an American Harley Davidson Bike. 'Harley's' are low profile heavy bikes, it must have been a strong wind gust to make him wobble on such a bike. So the dust seen being blown up from the turf has a simple and obvious explanation, it was from the wind gust, as does the sound of 'bullets' passing by people, and the man being hit on the cheek by 'something' .

However the wind surge does not explain Mr Kennedy's look of distress moments before being shot, the President's expression and his hand movements indicate he is distressed at something. It is not impossible dust blown into his mouth or eyes could have caused such a reaction, but Jackie sat next to him seems unaffected by the wind surge. It seems more serious than simply a case of swallowing dust but has never been satisfactorily explained. Neither Governor Connally or Mrs Kennedy noticed anything like gunshots at that moment.

chronology: Harry and Franklin were no tag team.

In some ways you can understand Harry Truman's gloomy attitude to FDR, FDR was an impossible act to follow. Loved and esteemed in America and around the world, FDR was a shining light of hope to a world craving peace freedom and social justice. Harry S Truman was maneuvered into the Vice Presidency precisely because he was half hearted about social justice and Peace and freedom.

Henry Wallace was Americas Vice President in FDRs third term, but conservatives wanted him out of the White House and an end to America's Liberal era as the war years came to a conclusion with America triumphant on all fronts.

Triman was also the choice of the British Political establishment, they saw him as a easy to handle reactionary who would go along with England's 'Business as usual' hopes after the war. Henry Wallace was feared by London as an American who would champion the rights of nations held in Empires and workers seeking a better quality of life.

Harry Truman's gruff handling of the Soviets almost cost Washington it's highest trump card in it's negotiations with Japan. Japan feared the USSRs entry onto the war in Japan more than anything els. Tokyo was beginning to fear an exhausted Japanese public would turn to the communists out of desperation.

chronology: 'President's Four'

An odd coincidence is that there were four U.S. President's in Dallas in November 22 1963.

JFK of cpurse, LBJ who was with Mr Kennedy, George H Bush who was addressing a Business meeting in Dallas, and Richard M Nixon who was also in Dallas as a Legal Advisor to Pepsi Cola. While in Dallas the day before the Assassination, Mr Nixon met with LBJ who was irritated by the smear politics of a GOP Congressman who was calling JFK a catholic traitor and selling out the U.S. LBJ asked Mr Nixon to use his influence in the GOP to try and get the Congressman to tone down the smear speeches against JFK. Mr Nixon said he would try and rope in the Congressman.

chronology: President Obama confirms there 'are' Black Helicopters.

'Black Helicopters' are a major U.S. Conspiracy theory subject despite years of being dismissed by most Media commentators. American theorists see the helicopters as 'the work horses of the secret New World Order Army' .

Mr Obama simply confirmed America advanced helicopters which it used in such operations as the attack on Bin Laden's crime hide out in Pakistan.

UFO Contactees insist the U.S. Military use Black Helicopters to harass them after reporting contacts, but they have never provided any proof of such harassment.

The CIA once modified a small Bell Helicopter to use for tapping telephones lines but insist they have no fleet of creepy Black Helicopters.

Some people in Midwestern States however insist Black Helicopters are real, even some Public Officials have stated large Truck Trailers are used to move the Black Helicopters about.

chronology: News that most likely never interested Americans in 1955.

Most senours in the U.S. today probably have little memory of news stories they read about 60 years ago, but they were stories with 'legs' as they say, one story was about a distant place called 'Vietnam' 'where is that' ? most Americans would have asked. It was a story about a gun battle between river pirates and police over who controls brothels and gambling near Saigon. 'Huh' ? would probably be the response at the time in America.

Well let's try and keep this story simple. In 1955 the Police Chief in Saigon was dismissed after allegations he was skimming profits from most of the Brothels and Gambling Houses in and around Saigon. However, the Bin Xuyen Cult who were originally River Pirates in Vietnam supported the Police Chief and rose up to support him with gun battles in Saigon that needed Government Troops to suppress them. Emperor Boa Dai who ruled Vietnam at the time probably knew nothing about the violence as he was in residence in a sumptuous Villa in Cannes France and ruled Vietnam from there.

And then there was the story of Guy Burgess who had been a Spy and fled from the British Embassy in Washington, all very James Bond sounding. The story of 'Burgess and MaClean' would drag on for decades, ironically, some researchers would later doubt if either men had ever been Spies, They seem to have just 'flipped' after coming under investigation and fled to Moscow.

Folks in Los Angeles probably shrugged 'I will give the place a year before it folds' when hearing of Walt Disneys 'Fantasy Land' which opened in 1955 outside LA. But 'Disney World' would later become a massive multi national business in France Florida and LA.

James Dean also died in 1955 after an auto crash in California. Dean had appeared in Road safety advertisements and movies urging Americans to drive safely and within speed limits only days before his fatal crash. 'Drive safely, the next life you save could be mine' said James looking into the camera.

chronology: Art Bell to host a Thanksgiving marathon show on KABC this Thursday?

Art Bell, at one time one of the Conspiracy Communities most popular talkshow hosts is to broadcast a long show on KABC out of Los Angeles this Thanksgiving, or so the rumours on the Web say.

The show, if it happens may be a 'make or break' return to radio for Art, who surprised many Americans by simply stopping broadcasting a few years ago, then returned to the radio a year or two ago, only to vanish again from the broadcast media.

Among the biggest fans and regular listeners to the Art Bell Show in the past was the Heavens Gate Cult in California. But most of the former members will not be tuning in this Thanksgiving after their 'event' in 1997.

So if you are a fan of Art check out the KABC listing for this week.

chronology: Americas most popular image may be pretty unaccurate.

Everywhere in the U.S.A. you see His image, usually of a tall handsome man with long hair brown and neatly combed, but alas Jesus was unlikely to have looked like that.

'Well what did He look like' ? many Americans would ask. We just do not know, the Gospels have no description at all of Him and all paintings of Jesus are fanciful to say the least. Jesus Himself seems to have had multiple images after He rose from the dead, so any Painting of Him would be only one image of many.

There was some excitement a few years ago when a book was found in a cave (here we go again groan sceptics, yet 'another' book from a cave) which seemed to have an image on the front of Jesus from around the time He lived. But the image was blurred and could have been of anyone.

There is a book supposedly written by the Devil which has a sketch of Jesus in by Satan himself. But given the artist, the drawing is unlikely to be flattering.

There are people who claim to have seen Jesus while having some kind of ecstatic experience, but they all describe a different looking person.

So hey wireclubbers, next time you are driving through the Bible Belt of the U.S. those pictures of Jesus you see are as good as anything in the Vatican as far as describing Him goes.

chronology: Mr Obama always has the end of the world within his reach.

Where ever a U.S. President goes a small black suitcase goes with him, it contains the procedure necessary to launch Americas devastating nuclear strike on an enemy. The suitcase is real wireclubbers and there is a chance some President will use the 'end of the world' codes in the case. It is rumoured President Bush opened the case during the 911 attacks and was ready to defend America.

So what is it like for the Officers who carry the case? well U.S. Service persons who have done the detail say the case is not too heavy and they get used to literally carrying 'the Pandora's Box' around all day.

chronology: U.S.S. Ford ready for 2016

The U.S. Navy will have a spring in it's step next year when the U.S.S. Ford joins it's Fleet.


The Ford is the most advanced Aircraft Carrier in the world and can out perform any other ship of it's class.

However some warfare experts have urged the U.S. Navy to invest more in defensive systems for the Ford, they claim the ship is vulnerable to long range killer cruise missiles developed by Russia and China.

At least the Navy has a brand new and flexible new ship for it's peace keeping responsibilities in the decades ahead. 'May God Bless her and all who sail on her' as the traditional sailors prayer goes.

chronology: U.S.S. Kitty Hawk meets Mothman in the China Sea.

Aircraft Carriers are often dynamos of 'Urban Legends' and the Kittyhawk was no exception.

1975 and the U.S.S. Kittyhawk was steaming in the China Sea. Some Aircraft were flying in training formation one night but suddenly three of the Navy planes broke formation and went missing from Radar. They landed later on the Carrier and were ordered to report for a debriefing to explain why they left formation flight. Even before the pilots and navigators emerged from the meeting Sailors on the Kittyhawk were exchanging 'water cooler stories' about the pilots actions the previous night. The pilots had radioed they had seen a powerful beam of light coming from a remote island and flew to check it out without first getting permission. Sailors just assumed it was Soviet spy planes snooping on the 'Kitty' .

But the story that later emerged was wilder than even the sailors could have invented. What the pilots had seen they said was flying bat like creatures carrying people up into the sky along the beam of light. One pilot was said to have had a mental breakdown and been sent to a Navy mental hospital a week later. Most sailors would have dismissed the story as a 'nonsense tale' designed to cover up another, real, event. The real mystery in this tale is where did the three Kitty Hawk jets go after breaking away from formation ? , and why did they need a Tanker plane refuelling?

The dark nights of the China Sea keeps it's mysteries, and ghostly flight of the three Kitty Hawk planes is one of them.
