For follower's of libertarian, anarcho capitalism, Silk Road was heaven on earth. In exchange for Bitcoin payments huge amounts of contraband was secretly shipped around the world, right to your door. The biggest drug carriers in towns were letter carrier's.

But since the FBI brought down Silk Road, other web site's have sprung up offering the same service's. But according to users of the site's, they are filled with scammers.
While love it or hate it, Silk Road did have a ideological principal of let the public do what they want. The new start up replacement site's have zero ideology and are there to grab anything they can by any means.

So if you ever considered shopping for some goods not available in the shops, then you are advised to stay with Amazon or eBay. Otherwise you will see your Bitcoin vanish faster than Florida Orange Juice on a hot day.

chronology: When old Ben Franklin was scammed.

Well no patriotic American should feel sad, because even the great Napoleon was also scammed by the same hoaxer.

In the late 18th century a Automaton Chess player called The Turk was causing quite a stir in Europe . Both Ben Franklin and Napoleon played games against the supposed Robot and lost. But hey, no shame there, it was a Robot.

About now most Americans would shrug, 'so some guy manages to hide a dwarf in a cupboard and claim's the machine can work by itself. So what'?

Actually folks in the States would be correct. That is how the scam was run. But how did Ben Franklin and the Great Napoleon not discover the scam? It seems the dwarf was cleverly hidden inside the box.

chronology: 1997 and an American Robot changes the world for ever.

Russian Chess Master Mr Kasparov arrived in New York City convinced he could outsmart the American Deep Blue computer. But Deep Blue never flinched.

Deep Blue went on to beat the Grand Master of Chess. It was the first time a Robot had beaten a Grand Master of Chess.

chronology: IBMs big cash prize.

After Deep Blue won it's chess match with Mr Kasparov, IBMs Stock value rose 11 billion dollars, that would be around 20 Billion dollars in todays money.
Mr Kasparov suggested a rematch sometime in the future, but IBM were said to e exhausted from the championship matches. They were exactly same as matches between human Grand Masters in terms of clashes between players over everything from seating arrangements and air conditioning levels etc. IBM had achieved what it set out to win and saw no point in a rematch.

The reason for IBMs Stock price rise was because investors had seen AI had reached a new level of development ,opening vast new opportunities for business.

Today, no human can beat a computer in chess.

chronology: James Bedford looks the same today as he did in 1967.

Mr Bedford was the first person cryogenically preserved. He died and was frozen this date in 1967.

His body then spent years moving between California and Arizona where it was held in facilities for storing such bodies.

American's seem less convinced today about the possibility of being preserved then brought back to life in the future than they were when James was frozen. They think there are just too many hurdles to jump over before a body can be brought back to life. But 1500 people have booked a place among the deep frozen travelers into the future.

Seymour Cray helped America win the race in building supercomputers better than The Soviet's. But at the Cray Company one man pointed out that the first Cray 1 computer could never have been built without the ladies who wired up the computer with thousands of thin wires linking up all the different parts. This was before microprocessors removed the need for wires. Around 4 ladies spent three months wiring up thousands of thin wires. Inevitably some wires were misplaced so another month or two was needed to correct mistakes.

The Cray 1 was around the size of a car. It was faster than any other computer at the time. But without the dedicated ladies and their soldering tools, Agencies from the Pentagon to the CIA to National Weather Service would never had the world's fastest and best computers.

Back in 1994 John and Lorainne Bobbitt were the centre of a global News sensation as Lorainne cut off a part John's anatomy. Later she threw it out of her car as she drove along. It came close to becoming a snack for dog's.

But now John has had a toe amputated. And he may need another toe removed.

The poor Guy has certainly had a lot of challenges in life.

chronology: Kursk Disaster probably due to faulty torpedo.

When the gigantic Russian Submarine Kursk exploded and sank in the seas north of Russia the world was shocked that such a modern submarine could be lost as it was. But with the passing of the years, the tragedy now seems like a inevitable accident. The Kursk, according to Russian Navy staff had not been serviced as regularly as it should have been. Lack of regular and robust servicing is deadly with submarines. They are packed with complex, vital, and indispensable machines and parts, the failure of just one device can be lethal. But due to Russias austerity years throughout the 1990s, the Kursk was mostly laid up, and given scant attention. Just as vital the boat, the Crew needs to be regular full time dedicated crews to the type of submarine they serve on. Some Russian commentators say the crew on the Kursk hardly knew the sub, and were unfamiliar with the type of torpedo they were loading at the time of the disaster.

So the question is, why did Russia, risk so much by pushing the Kursk into service when clearly the sub was not ready? And was it a coincidence that 911 happened a few weeks after the Kursk disaster? did Russia pick up intelligence that some kind of attack on America was about to happen, and Russia needed it's best ships ready? If whistleblowers in Russia are correct in saying the Kursk was rushed into service without all preparations made then Russia may have een alarmed at something it heard over it's spy networks. The first woman executed in a Federal Prison in 70 year's, was put to death today. Mr Trump had made Federal Death sentences possible after new execution procedure's became available.

While Mr Trump's supporters will celebrate the execution, it is unlikely most Democrats will be too concerned about the death of Montgomery given the nature of her crime.

She was put to death by lethal injection. Her defence team had argued she was delusional after a childhood of sexual and mental abuse when she committed her crimes.

chronology: This date in 1968, Johnny Cash performs his legendary Show in Folsom Prison.

chronology: Madam Vice President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris.

There then is presented a picture that looks like it was shot of Ms Harris back stage of a local theatre. Democrats have mixed feelings about the picture which will appear on the front page of Vogue next month.

It is not so much the clothes Ms Harris was wearing, she is dressed in laid back style like she was just calling around to see friend's for coffee. But the back alley style studio setting of bad lighting and junk room setting.

Don't know wirreclubbers, people may be reading more into the photo shoot than is necessary. But some of Ms Harris Democratic Party aids say Vogue told them they would not use the relaxed setting photo.

It is similar to a photo of Britain's former Prime Minister John Major who was snapped one time bear chested relaxing and licking an ice cream at the sea side. People said the photo was inappropriate.

chronology: FDR fly's into a storm.

This date in 1943 FDR and Winston Churchill meet in Casablanca Morocco for a war conference.

Some Americans may ask'why Casablanca' ? Well it was safer than flying to England for the Great Man, also Mr Roosevelt wanted Stalin to attend, but Stalin declined due to the Battle of Stalingrad.

FDR is portrayed in history as engaging in a friendly successful conference where he carried the day and settled Allied strategy. In reality, President Roosevelt found himself trying to resolve a dispute amongst North African communities who were blazing with hatred for each other.

America had led the successful liberation of Morocco alongside Britain. But once there, FDR was faced with a political balancing act. The pro Nazi French Colonial Administration had agreed to favourable surrender terms on their conditions. FDR, keen to keep good will with French people in France was not disposed to enforce terms. Jewish folks in North Africa were furious with the French Administration there for the brutal way they had been hearded into slave labour camps. They presumed American's would arrive bringing freedom and justice for them. FDR immediately freed Jewish people from concentration camps, he set Jews free from the restrictions imposed on them, but the President had to be cautious not to enrage Nazi supporting French Administrator's and Military in France by interference in North Africa political issues.

The Great Man had the lives of American Soldiers to consider, if he insisted on International court's to gives Jewish North Africans their jobs back and businesses back using American influence this would divert from the ultimate goal of winning the victory for human rights for all people in Europe.

In Washington DC the Jewish American lobby reminded Democrats that most American Jews had voted for FDR and contributed to the Democrats Election Fund. The Democrats could only try and explain that no Jewish lives were at risk anymore and Jewish people were free from concentration camps, but America cannot impose American values of respect for Human Rights on people who are not American.

Spare a thought for poor exhausted FDR.

chronology: This date in 1559 Princess Elizabeth is crowned Queen of England in Westminster Cathedral. The Queen had taken part in a procession through London before Her Coronation where she was welcomed by packed crowd's of well-wishers .
After finally managing to break away from the cheering people of London Elizabeth was crowned in Westminster Cathedral. Church bells and organs were deafening in the noise they made as the young Queen walked from the Church.

A curious point about Elizabeth was Her vast learning. Even when She was crowned She was a knowledgeable Person. But Elizabeth never stopped reading books and learning languages all Her life. One historian has called Her one of the most learned European leader's who ever lived. Her staff would often find Her curled up in some private place reading a serious book whenever She had spare time.

chronology: Los Angeles 1947 this date, The Black Darhlia mystery begins with the discovery of Elizabeth Short's body.

Ms Short had been killed by a brutal slash to her face that led to her bleeding to death. She had also been clubbed about the head in her final moments alive.

Elizabeth had died around 14 hours before her body was discovered, but LAPD Detectives could not discover where she had been for a week before she was murdered. She was last seen in the Biltmore hotel in Los Angeles on the 9th of January.

The cave paintings of a pig along with human hand outline painting have been dated at 45000 year's old. If the dating is correct this would place the art roughly 5000 year's after Adam and Eve left the garden of Eden.

The outline of the human hands could go some way to solving the theory of some Bible students that Adam and Eve were physically much bigger than modern man. Some Bible students insist that the couple were around 10 feet tall. But others suggest that the couple were more likely 7 feet tall.

However, scientists at the site are being cautious at the moment as to just who made the painting. They are still open to the Idea that Cro Magnons could have been the artist's.

Conspiracy Buffs often claim scientists are not making public controversial cave art in Australia and the United States. They speculate that the painting could show images that prove Ancient Astronaut's visited Earth, or that giant's existed as the Bible described.

chronology: Franklin Graham. Rock solid supporter of Mr Trump, and still right behind President Trump.

Rev Graham has issued a Social Media statement condemning plans to impeach President Trump. He also emphasized his admiration for Mr Trump and his support for all Mr Trump has achieved in his Presidency.

Reaction to Rev Graham's comments have almost without exception in condemning them as insensitive. Observer's have noted evangelical groups like Rev Graham's were responsible more than any other American's for placing Mr Trump in Office in 2016.

However Rev Graham is unrepentant in his support for Mr Trump and even spent time describing how Mr Trump has been a great President and has done so much for Americans. In particular, Rev Graham noted Mr Trump's Tax cuts.

chronology: Ulster, 100 year's old.

As folks in Ulster reflect on their 100 year's as a new young District in Europe, they can be proud of many achievements. Numerous skilled workers, many successful small businesses, fine University Students, and on. The sectarian trouble's of course gave rise to concerns of many Irish Americans. Thankfully the American sponsored Peace Agreement has proven an outstanding success.

But for some Ulstermen, the Political dynamics of 1920, when the creation of Ulster was finalized, are intriguing. In particular how internal politics in England drove English Conservatives in the direction they went at the time in Ireland. Southern Ireland was removed from British National Elections in 1920 which was highly favourable to Britain's Conservative Party. With voter reform in Britain imminent, like in all western countries, women and working class would be allowed to vote. It is at least conceivable, that English Conservatives were unfolding a strategy to give them long lasting success in future elections. Separating Ulster from Ireland politically would garner many extra conservative votes in British Elections.

Perhaps wirreclubbers. We do see political parties sponsoring or apposing new boarders for purely Political reason's. American Republican Party member's would drag their feet all the way to a vote for Poerto Rico to join the Union.

But as some Ulstermen would say about the English Conservatives motives in 1920 'Turkeys never vote for Christmas. There must have been benefits for them to negotiate as they did' .

chronology: This date in 1707, Bonnie Scotland joins England to form Great Britain.

In America today people with heritage linked to Scotland often receive invitations to join Scottish Association's and celebrate their nation's illustrious past.

But today Scotland is considering ending it's 300 year connection to England and'going Indie' as they say. Although roughly half of Scotland's population has reservations about breaking with England. They do not think independence a smart move at all.

But for Americans with Scottish roots, get ready for some epic gatherings of the Klans if Scotland does go Indie.

If Scotland does leave the Union, it is likely to lead to even more emigration from England like the current wave of migration. Middle Class people in England will likely feel even more 'trapped' outside Europe than they do since Brexit. So there could well be a wave of emigration to Scotland by Brit's anxious to gain free movement in Europe.

chronology: Harvey and Lee.

The mystery of the JFK event in Dallas in 1963 never ceases to intrigue many people all over the world. It is generally accepted by many researchers into the mystery that there were at least two people who used the identity of Lee Oswald. But some researchers think they know when the switch between one Lee and another took place. It was in California when 'Lee' returned from his deployment in Japan.
According to American history, Lee was a Radar Operator at Atsugi Air Base. But no Radar Operator at Atsugi has ever remembered a person like Lee at the time. Some Marines remember a man with Lee's name. He was a general duties kind of Guy who lived in the barracks. He would get drunk, go with prostitutes, and now and then be bullied by the other Marines. No one could remember him ever learning Russian or talking about communism. The Unit he was in returned to California and 'Lee' was a completely different person, so to speak. Some people remembered him speaking Russian well, he carried a book by Karl Marks called Das Kapital, went on a date with a local Californian woman who found him charming and intelligent. It was impossible for the Lee who had left Japan, and the Lee who arrived at the Marine Base in California to have been the same person.

Some time later, the California Lee would defect to Russia, and the Lee from Japan would vanish until the California Lee returned to the USA. Then the Japan Lee would be constantly noted in New Orleans and later in Texas. Usually he worked at menial jobs, and was in the company of a Russian speaking wife.

Marina Oswald would many years later comment on the reported sightings of her and California Lee saying how Police Detectives had taken her to places were people insisted she and California Lee had been. She positively instead she had never been to those places.

Even the United States Marines found Lee a mystery. After one Lee was supposedly shot in Dallas. The Marines checked their records and found his hight and other details contradicted the person called Lee in Dallas.

Gary had been a controversial figure in American life as he insisted on being executed for murdering two people in Provo Utar. Norman Mailer would write what some consider an American Classic 'The Executioners Song' about Gary's life and execution.

chronology: Cassius Clay makes his strangest speech.

One time Cassius addressed a rally of the Ku Klux Klan giving his support to the Klan policy of racial separation. 'N*ggers with N*ggers, White people with white people' raved Cassius as he spoke from a stage to gatherings of Hooded Klansmen. Cassius was apposed to race mixing.

While his brothers and sisters in the Nation of Islam welcomed his speech, most African Americans who heard of his comments could only shake their heads at yet another wild comment from Cassius. 'He should stick to boxing and stay away from public speaking' was a common response from most Black folks at the time.

chronology: Who really had Lee Oswalds birth certificate?

On the face of it, it was a minor accident of little interest at the time. The FBI had discovered that while 'Lee Oswald' was in Russia as a defector, someone in New Orleans was using his Birth Certificate to establish his identity as Lee Oswald in New Orleans.
In some ways it trivial, but Lee was a political defector and the FBI flagged the imposting and tried without success to arrest the imposter.

The trivial incident only became a mystery decades after the assassination, of JFK when it was discovered Lee, the Lee arrested in Texas, never had a birth certificate.

The only evidence of a birth certificate was a photo negative which Lee had in his possession. In no way could that be considered as a birth certificate.

If it was any other American citizen this would have been a curiosity, but in the case of a man accused of being an imposter of a suspect in the assassination of a president it should have been a major point of interest.

Whoever was using Lee's birth certificate while 'Lee' was in Russia had no problem using it. So it is reasonable to presume it was an actual real certificate. So was it in fact the real Lee using the certificate?
In which case, then who was in Russia claiming to be Lee?

chronology: The Third Man.

Students of Lee Oswalds life have made a strong case for him being replaced by a person impersonating him when he returned to the USA from Deployment in Japan. But close observers of Lee's life argue that there was actually a third person involved in the activities of Lee towards the end of his life.

This person does seem to have a recognisable character. And if the FBI were analysing his actions, they would note a repeated pattern of behaviour.

The Third Lee comes over as a amateur Thespian. His actions are repeatedly theatrical. They are also designed to pin 'Lee Oswald' in the minds of his audience. We will credit all the following reports to one person. There were almost certainly many more which people did not report.
Once he turned up at a man's home and in an almost stage like fashion, proceeded to buy rifles from him for Cuban Exiles he claimed to be in contact with.
Another time he hitched a lift into Dallas with a Truck Driver and said he was taking 'curtain rods' into work. He asked the driver if it was possible for someone to shoot the President from the roof of a Dallas building.
We find him again at shooting range firing onto another man's target using Traiser Round Bullets.
Another time we find him driving like a mad man through Dallas while test driving a car. He declared Russian cars were better than American.
We find him on a bus going to Mexico. A English passenger on the bus from Liverpool remembered him well. 'He was moving around the bus going up to everyone and telling them he was Lee Oswald and he had just left the Marines and had been to Russia and was going to Mexico.

These reports describe a man who generally speaking looked like Lee. So how do we know it was not Lee? Well most of the time we can place for certain in another location. Lee also denied being anywhere near the reported incidents.

How can we not think it was the 'California Lee' who almost certainly was the one who travelled to Russia? Well he is described as a much more reserved like person. He was never outward going or talkative. For example, the California Lee was almost certainly the 'Lee' who knocked on a woman's door the night before the claimed assassination asking to speak to Jack Ruby. The woman told him Jack was at a Cafe in Dallas. The man was seen a short time later talking quietly with Jack for half an hour or so in the Cafe. Marina Oswald insisted Lee was with her at home in bed at the times of these sightings.

Well who knows wireclubers? A Congressional Investigation in the 1970s concluded that there was definitely at least one person impersonating Lee. But the Congressmen could not establish his identity for certain.

chronology: American Churches react to Franklin Graham comments comparing Mr Trump to Jesus Christ.

American Churches have been slow to react to Rev Graham's comments comparing the loss of Mr Trump in Washington to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, but indirectly churches are responding via comments in church paper's.

Some have noted Rev Graham's long standing and deep support for Mr Trump, however he is wrong to compare him with Jesus Christ. Also Rev Graham's outbursts against Lawmakers in Washington DC, comparing them with money grubbing back stabbers like Judas Iscariot was grossly unfair and disrespectful to elected officials.

Some church commentators are suggesting anyway that Rev Graham apologize to The Congress so that the insult to Lawmakers can be put in the past. An insult this extreme will just not go away by itself, there needs to be a apology, said one commentator.

chronology: DC in Lockdown.

Washington DC is in Lockdown ready for the Presidential Inauguration on Wednesday. Outside the USA people are urging Americans to set aside their differences and unite with National Unity to face the problems ahead.

The FBI has been vetting National Guard staff who are being Deputised as U.S. Marshall's for the day's of the ceremony. Guardsmen will have power's of arrest for the day.

Even by Washington DC standard's it is a massive security lock down. Mr Trump's supporter's are still passionate in their devotion to the President who they see robbed of his election victory and betrayed by the Power Elite in America. Democratic Party members insist that the Election was fair and open.

Well we can only hope and pray American's can find the will to place the good of America above their personal grudges. Also pray for the safety and success of the FBI in protecting the Capital on Wednesday.
