chronology: Lil Wayne facing 10 years in prison.

Lil Wayne is facing 10 years in prison after admitting carrying a gold plated gun on a Private Jet despite being a convicted Felon.

Few people in the African American community have much sympathy for the Rapper after he gave his full support to Mr Trump in the last election. 'It's called Kama blowback. Wayne should look it up some time' one observed.

In such a close election, the use of Rappers was a imaginative move by GOP strategists and came close to giving Mr Trump the edge.

chronology: Proud Boys Leader not invited to meet Mr Trump at the White House.

The leader of the Proud Boys posted a photo of himself inside the White House grounds this weekend and added he was going to be at a secret meeting at an undisclosed location. The suggestion was taken by some to mean he was meeting secretly with the President.

But alas, White House Officials have dismissed the claim by some that the Proud Boys Leader and the President held a 'Berlin Bunker' type meeting. 'He was on a Public Tour of the White House Grounds, anyone can book such tours' said a White House Official.

But many Proud Boys will be convinced Mr Trump really did meet with he devoted street organiser to give a Berlin Bunker type fairwell hug and thank you.

The violent brawling in Washington over the weekend has again seen Proud Boys headlining around the world media.

One Proud Boy was seen being surprisingly gentlemanly. When punching out a rival demonstrator he immediately stopped hitting the man when the man's girlfriend ran to his assistance. The Proud Boy walked away. But the man's girlfriend was soon set upon by a woman with the Proud Boys. The PB female friend dragged the other woman to the floor by her hair and told her to 'f*ck off back to where she came from bitch'.

As ever people are calling on Americans to reject violence and reconcile together. But that seems unlikely at the moment.

Proud boy Wikipedia

The Proud Boys is a far-right, neo-fascist and male-only political organization that promotes and engages in political violence in the United States and Canada.[1] The group originated in the far-right Taki's Magazine in 2016 under the leadership of Vice Media co-founder and former commentator Gavin McInnes, taking its name from the song "Proud of Your Boy" from the 2011 Disney musical Aladdin.[2] Although the Proud Boys emerged as part of the alt-right, McInnes distanced himself from this movement in early 2017, saying the Proud Boys was "alt-light" while the alt-right's focus was race.[3] The re-branding effort intensified following the white supremacist Unite the Right rally.[4] Since early 2019, Enrique Tarrio, who identifies as Afro-Cuban, has been the chairman of the Proud Boys.[5]

The group believes men and Western culture are under siege, their views having elements of the white genocide conspiracy theory.[6] Members have participated in multiple racist events and events centered around anti-antifa, anti-left and anti-socialist violence, with expelled member Jason Kessler organizing the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville.[7] The Proud Boys glorifies violence, and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has called the group an "alt-right fight club."[8][9] The organization has been described as a hate group by NPR's The Takeaway and the SPLC, while the ADL has variously described the Proud Boys as an "extremist conservative" group and ideologically as primarily "alt lite."[10]

In late November 2018, an internal memo from the Clark County Sheriff's Office showed that the FBI had designated the Proud Boys an extremist group, but it later clarified that only certain members were extremist threats with ties to white nationalism.[11][12] In 2019, two Proud Boys were sentenced to four years in prison for attempted gang assault, attempted assault and other charges for a 2018 New York incident where they attacked individuals who prosecutors said were members of antifa.[13] The Proud Boys has been banned by Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.[14]

chronology: HMS Thetis, sunk by a lick of paint.

Among Submarines there is the common bond of living in constant danger of instant death at any moment. Although submarines today are considered safe, largely thanks to the U.S. Navy safety protocols of the late 1960s. Safety procedures were adopted by all Navy's using submarines.

But in 1939 when Thetis was lost just one mistake could doom a submarine to instant death. Such was the fate of the Thetis. A sailor on the sub snapped open a torpedo door without realising that the other door of the torpedo tube was opened and instantly an explosion of high pressure water flooded the boat in seconds sending her crashing face first the sea bed mud.

Most submarines hearing of the disaster would be curious how the safety locking mechanism failed to ensure the inner door could not be opened while an outer door on the tube was open. The answer is the Thetis never had such a safety locking mechanism fitted to the torpedo tubes.

The Thetis torpedo tubes were fitted with doors that had tiny holes drilled through the inner doors. They were made water tight by small plugs. Before opening the tube door the sailor would unplug the tiny hole. If no water came out that meant the outer door was closed. So the sailor would swing open the big inner door.
With Thetis being brand new there was coats of fresh paint all over the boat including the torpedo doors. The Paint had gummed up the safety hole, so when the sailor checked the tube no water came out. When he threw open the door tons of water exploded into the sub in seconds sending the boat to it's doom.

The bad luck of the Thetis seems to have continued after the first accident. The escape tube also malfunctioned after 4 men escaped. The escape tube was designed for a operation at a upright position. But Thetis was standing on its bow so that the escape tube was being operated sideways. A run of bad luck indeed.

Probably the Navy's reluctance to cut escape hole's in the hull was due to Navy Experts being bewildered at the time at just what had sunk the boat.

RIP the unlucky crew of the Thetis.

chronology: Nibiru may be out there in Space.

There could be a planet out in fringe's of the solar system, five times bigger than Earth. Some astronomers who have read ancient astronomical record's and weighed up the most recent data of studies of the Region just beyond the limits of the solar system say it is very likely the planet known to some conspiracy theorists as Nibiru is out there.

So why has it never been seen? Well if you believe the Ancient record's it was seen in the past, but it would be very very difficult for astronomers today to notice. People often assume that a planet twice as far away as Neptune would be easy to see with telescopes of the large kind. But this is not so. As one astronomer explained. First due to long exposure needed to pick out all the objects being studied you only have a window period of once a year for a week or so. And you also have to concentrate the equipment on a small segment of space. This makes any search for the planet extremely difficult. Also the discovery that a planet can orbit around the solar system out of line with other planet's means that the planet could be anywhere. Not just in the same roughly position circle as the other planet's. The recent discovery of thousands of huge asteroids orbiting the solar system just beyond Pluto have added to the likelihood of Nibiru possibly existing somewhere in the outer solar region. Some of the asteroids out there beyond Pluto are bigger than the City of los Angeles.

Not all astronomers are excited about the new possibilities of the planet. They point out that apart from legendary accounts, there is zero proof at all to support the idea of the planet.

chronology: Babylon bewitched Alexander the Great?

One of the old debates among people who love classical history is the argument they have about whether Alexander the Great planned to stay in Babylon and make the City his capital of his empire.

Alexander did seem to have a love of the great City of Babylon. His life in Macedonia had been mostly that of a regional aristocrat, and later a District King, but Babylon was a fabulous and sophisticated cosmopolitan city. To Alexander it would have seemed awesome.

So did he intend to settle there? Well the classical history buffs can't make their minds up. While some insist Alexander would have returned to Egypt to end his days in the City named after himself, others argue Alexander had become enthralled by Babylon and it's complex social life. They point out how the priests of Babylon often surrounded Alexander and walked with him through the City. Alexander had pledged to enhance the temples in Babylon. Alexander was also said to have taken part in mystical rituals performed with Babylonian priests.

Don't know wirreclubbers, personally I would side with the classics buffs who say Alexander would have eventually headed back to his Egyptian city. His Army of loyal Greeks were his true power base in Babylon, and they were becoming homesick for their beloved Greek hometown's. Babylon may have been full of booze drug's and other things, but for Greeks there is no place like home.

chronology: The'Come back kids from Cape Kennedy' .

For most Americans winning the race to the Moon was a point of National Pride in their contest with Russia. But according to some historians American's had way more at stake than just friendly rivalry.

Some historians point out that The Soviet's were planning to shoulder America and just about everyone else out of the way as far as space was concerned. For Russia, Space Travel had replaced religion as the national hope and dream. Part of that dream was to colonize the Moon and turn it into a outpost of the Soviet Union. With 'Soviet Only' parking, so to speak for Space craft there. There would have been none of the friendly open American welcome for all people to join in the adventure of Space.

So when NASA won the race to the Moon, they guaranteed that all nations had access to the Moon. The Moon came pretty close to becoming an outpost of the USSR. But for NASA it was a race to catch up with the Soviets.

Thanks to America all people can look up at a free Moon. LBJ was not joking when he said 'I do not want to go to bed by the light of a communist Moon' .

chronology: And the number of Battleships in service today is? Zero.

To understand how seriously nation's took battleships Sir Winston Churchill before 1920 stated that Great Britain would spend any amount, no matter how much, to maintain superiority over the United States in Battleships.

Sir Winston was serious. Any plans the United States announced to upgrade it's Navy was greeted by 'we will build bigger and better' by Britain.

American sponsored Arms Control Talks eventually calmed Britain's obsession with maintaining superiority over America in the Atlantic. But why, by 1960 did nation's abandon the once all powerful Battleships? The answer was that with the expansion of Air Power, and later Intercontinental Missiles, the once awesome vessels no longer served any real purpose. The threat of bombardment by battle ships was the trump card for nation's. But Aircraft and missiles replaced the great ships.

chronology: Stars or airplanes for Stovepipe Wells airfield?

The National Parks Service is constantly renovating and adjusting Service Areas to respond to public activities. And they now have to juggle the requests for priority by Star Gazers and Pilot's in the Death Valley Park.

Stovepipe Wells Airfield under review by the Parks Service after Amateur Astronomers requested the runway be designated for their use at at night for meetings and base areas to set up their telescopes. With so little light around, National Parks are ideal spots to view the night skies. Parking, Bathroom facilities, and gasoline availability are often supervised by the NPS and Star Gazers feel at home and safe in the National Parks.
However, Pilot's are uneasy at the closure of the Stovepipe Wells airport, largely for safety reasons. If a situation arises where a light aircraft needs to land quickly, then Stovepipe is a real asset to a pilot needing secure landing. Pilot's point out the airfield is closed at night so Star Gazers can gather at the runway even now.

Park Service Officials are said to be prompted by increasing numbers of Camper's and RV visitors who want ground for their vehicles and tent's.
