Zanjan: I tend to believe that souls attach more to other people than they do to places or things. You can tell because, even in this world, there's a yearning to be visited by a loved one who has passed on; and, during moments where a problem needs to be resolved, there's an instinct to call on somebody like Einstein or Houdini, or some master in a field for inspiration.
As for ghosts, I certianly wouldn't want to contact someone who had died in agony - how could they help? What could they teach me?

chronology: This date in 1916, the Everett Massacre.
Like everywhere else at the time Washington State had been a dangerous place for'Wobblies' . Wobblies were the Industrial Workers of the World. A strike by worker's at the Shingle Factory in Everett had seen Wobblies going to support the strikers, only to be beaten up by goon Squad's and summarily arrested by the local sheriff.
So on November 5th 1916;over a hundred Wobblies set off for Everett from Seattle, 25 miles away on two medium sized boat's.
When the Wobblies approached the Dock at Everett a Sheriff and dozens of vigilantes were waiting for them. The Sheriff refused to allow the Wobblies to tire up at the Dock, but the Wobblies swung around the landing walkway anyway.
Pretty soon hundreds of shots rang out between the two groups. Two vigilantes were killed and four Wobblies.
Well who started shooting first? Left Wing folks say it was the Sheriff and his Vigilantes. Local Businesses in Washington State blamed the Wobblies.
chronology: This date in 1925, the luck of the Irish ran out for Sydney Rieley.
Irishman Sydney is called'The greatest Spy who ever lived' in some popular books. The reality is practically nothing is known about him. He claimed to be the son of an Irish Clergyman. He also claimed to be the son of an Irish Merchant Sailor. He was said to have been active in attempting to overthrow the early Soviet Government in Russia. But maybe that was all 'Blarney' by Sydney. If was just spinning a yarn about his exploits in Russia, it finally got him killed. The Bolsheviks sentenced him to death if was ever captured by Communist's in Russia.
According to some writer's Sydney was snatched by Bolsheviks when in Russia illegally. After interrogation he was shot.
But according to his wife he was still alive 7 year's later in Russia. She claimed he was by then working for the Soviets.
Either way the man from Ireland remains a mystery to this day. Western Media in the 1920s spun a story of his exploits in Russia, which may or may not be true.
chronology: Nope, he was not a vampire, but there is still mystery to James Brown.
The story goes that an American sailor just after the Civil War turned into a Vampire at sea off the East Coast and murdered two fellow sailors and drank their blood. He was then sent to prison and then to a lunatic asylum. If he really was a vampire he is still in the State Hospital.
Well, not really. First the sailor, his name was James Brown, did murder a fellow sailor, but this was in the Indian Ocean, not off the East Coast of the United States. Second, he killed one Sailor, not two. He was dropped off at a U.S.Embassy to be returned to the States for Trial and was sentenced to death. But President Johnson pardoned him from the gallows, and he spent life in a mental institution.
So why did such a simple story become so distorted?
Well the early reporting was just exaggerated rehashing of earlier report's. The accurate details came from a man who rummaged about in old Washington DC legal paper's.
So don't worry. There is no Vampire being held in a prison anywhere in America. But there is a twist to the story. Why did President Johnson pardon him from the death penalty?
Probably because his trial was less than satisfactory to American standards.
chronology: This date in 1525 the first known European sets foot in what would become known as the State of Texas when a Spanish Nobleman is shipwrecked in the Region. He landed in what is called Galveston Island today.
chronology: Democrats looking more likely to win as votes are counted. But there is a big dark cloud on the horizon for Mr Biden and Ms Harris.
Democrats are virtually certain to win the 2020 election. But they face huge problems with the Congress and Senate. They have found themselves with a reduced number of Congress persons and the Senate has stayed the same.
For Mr Biden and Ms Harris this is super bad news. What this means is that support for The President's initiatives just will not be found amongst a mostly hostile GOP.
This situation is also going to continue the frustration amongst many Americans with the political situation in the United States. It is seen as partly to blame for Mr Trump's 'crayon writing year's' in the White House. But lawmakers in the United States state that if there is frustration with the present state of politics in America it is the public who voted in this situation.
Blackshoes: " But lawmakers in the United States state that if there is frustration with the present state of politics in America it is the public who voted in this situation."
I suppose that's the short answer, I personally believe that the media and education system has a great deal to do with the presuppositional views of the public
Biden wins, American is back on the road to Socialism Oh well, we'll have no jobs and higher taxes higher gas prices, higher product n' food prices, endless welfare, open borders, and of course unrestricted Genocide However, we will have great healthcare
(Edited by Blackshoes)
chronology: Blackie, no offense at all. But if you knew how much European's laugh at Americans when they call the Democratic Party. 'socialist' . The Dems are not, and never have been socialist. They are Liberals. If you want to see a modern socialist style country look at Sweden, or France. Most European countries are to some degree socialist with the exception of England and Spain and Italy.
The Dems believe in the Liberal safety net and no more than that. Even the GOP believed in consensus politics. Consider Richard Nixon, he never dismantled LBJs Great Society. It was Mr Reagan who did that. President Clinton was more Republican than Democrat. Mr Obama was just as business friendly as Mr Clinton.
So where you get the idea that the Dems are socialist who can guess?
As for no jobs, automation not lawmakers create that. Food Stamps etc are what people need to survive. What do you suggest? Let people starve or beg? That is unexceptable for a dignified and advanced nation like America. Even GOP folks would say you are living in some bronze age Bible fantasy land.
chronology: Don't worry it will never happen in America or England. The European countries do have outstanding infrastructure and social welfare etc. But no way will people in America or England live with those levels of taxes that they pay over there. They really are pleasant places to live. But boy do they pay for it with payroll taxes. But most of them don't mind, they get their money back in excellent public services.
chronology: Gambler's now certain Mr Biden has won.
Well Guy's you just cannot hold down a good Gambler. Bookies now expect Mr Biden to win. So confident are they that they are taking bets on how many Electoral college votes he will be granted.
All this after the biggest gambling event in the history of the world in the United States Elections. Millions of dollars are zinging back and forth over gambling web site's betting on the how big Mr Bidens majority will be.
Both Republican and Democrats must be wondering if there is some way America can make some cash out of the huge tidal wave of money gambled on the American Elections. Right now Government's such as Germany Australia France Great Britain all will be pocketing hundreds of millions of dollars in VAT taxes from all the gambling. But the American Tax Payers receive nothing.
No group of people are more politically savvy than bookies, they live and breathe politics. They know it is unhelpful for Washington DC not to receive a single cent in Taxes from the Billions just gambled. They will be considering ways that the Tax money paid by bookies around the world can be shared with Washington DC.
But right now wirreclubbers, Government's around the world are all winners in the American Elections to the tune of hundreds of million's of extra dollars in tax on betting.
chronology: It is the luck of the Irish.
Mr Biden was photographed on a visit to Ireland in 2016 in a classic Irish American Politician scene of being hugged by a little Old Lady and being told 'God bless ya' . It almost brought tears to his eyes.
Mr Bidens family left Ireland in the bleak year's of 1850 and settled in Pennsylvania. Today he says his love for Ireland is only second to his love for America.
In his old family Town in Ireland folks were cheering and and rejoicing at his victory in the United States Elections, even if it not official yet. But if Mr Biden is declared President then it looks like relations between Washington DC and the people of the Emerald will be on a rock solid foundation like they were when Mr Clinton provided so much effort and support for the Irish Peace.
Relations between America and Ireland have dipped and dived over the centuries. While Irish people welcomed the chance to flee to America during the Great Hunger period, they accused Americans of being more prejudiced against Irish Catholics than the English. But relations improved as Irish families prospered in America and found acceptance. Relations dipped again when Irish folks resented the lack of support for Ireland's Independence during Woodrow Wilsons Presidency. But improved after independence. Relations dipped again when President Nixon steadfastly refused to become involved in condemning the violence against Irish Catholics by British troops in the 1970s. Mr Nixon said 'It is not acceptable for the President to make public comments on the situation in Ireland' .
Mr Reagan was also criticised for not speaking out against alleged human rights abuses in Ireland by British troops. President Carter took a stand on many Human Rights cases in Ireland involving British troops. He even banned Arm's sale's for a time to Britain.
But it was Mr Clinton who won back much of the affection for America in Ireland. And now Mr Biden seems set to win a real place in the heart's of Irish people more than ever.
The planned visit to Ireland by Mr Biden if he wins the Election will be a huge event in Ireland. Irish folks for the most part detested Mr Trump. They were indignant at his scapegoating of the Latino community. Mr Trump himself, super rich, super privileged, also was a walking embodiment of everything Irish people saw as persecuting them over the years.
chronology: Results now confirmed. Mr Biden is President. God Bless Mr Biden and God Bless America. Thanks too, to Mr Trump and Melenia for their Service.
chronology: This date in 1919 thousands of people across America were arrested in 'The Palmer Raids'. A promising young DOJ Civil Servant called JEdgar Hoover supervised much of the raids.
The Raids were conducted to snatch Eastern European and Italian immigrants suspected of being communist and throw them out of the USA. Mr Palmer hoped to deport 60.000 such people.
While the raids were popular with average Americans, U.S. Civil Servants balked at the crudeness of the action. They controlled who could be deported, not the DOJ. And the U.S. Immigration Department said it could not deport people simply because they had a Russian name and someone had said they were a communist.
People arrested said they were beaten with Billy Clubs and thrown and dragged around when arrested.
chronology: This date 2004 U.S. Marines begin close combat face to face fighting in Felujah in a effort to break the grip of Islamic fanatics on the town. The Marines suffer heavy casualties, as much as 90pc in some blocks of the town but keep pressing ahead despite their shocking casualty rate.
chronology: Dark history of the Sufferegettes.
You would expect women fighting for women's Rights to be Liberal folks. The idea of them being Conservative seems a contradiction. But if someone told you women were the driving force behind the growth of Fascism in Britain, now that would sound like a joke. But according to some historian's they were.
So why would women join such a curious political movement? After winning success in gaining the vote, women in England next wanted improvements in their lives. None of the political parties offered them anything. But fascism did. There was also the 'image' of fascism. One man described a visit to a Hitler Rally in Germany in the 1930s. He commented on the striking difference between the 'healthy clean athletic German people, and the dirty dishevelled unhealthy londoners'. Fascism seemed the way ahead to many women. And feminists were soon the driving force behind fascism in Britain.
But fascism never took hold in Britain. While women may admired those athletic Hitler youth boys, most men in England preferred being in the pub with their ciggerretts and beer rather than hanging out with what they considered oddballs who gave each hand signals and seemed to have more than their fair share of gay members.
Women may have won the vote, but they failed to make Hitler a superstar.
chronology: Machete Man never died.
Americans are probably even now putting the past of Mr Trump behind them, but it seems much of that past is fiction.
One of the most disturbing was the 'beating to death of a heroic store owner in Dallas by Antifa Animals'.
Well it seems that the facts were a little different. Yes there were protesters in Dallas that night. But as they marched through the streets a man can be seen on video running at the protesters whirling a machete. He begins slashing at one man who defends himself with a scateboard and manages to knock down the machete man. Machate man is then punched and kicked a few times. But he was not killed.
In theory it is the machete man who could be interviewed by Dallas Police and charged with attempted murder. But at the moment that seems unlikely due to the huge work load of Dallas PD.
A person claiming to be the machete man says he was probably not acting responsibly when he attacked the protesters with the machete.
But that is not the story most Americans heard of the shocking video from Dallas at the time. Seems the truth was a little different.
Does make you wonder what would have been the outcome if the scateboard guy had not been able to fight him off? Texas is no lover of protesters. But vigilante murders are also out of favour in Texas.
chronology: The Phenomenon. A UFO Documentary by James Fox.
The Documentary has just been released on Netflix and Amazon etc. Some people are raving at how the documentary 'proves' UFOs are real.
Well that seems a huge claim to make, but while it may not prove UFOs it does provide some movie footage of well known folks like Kenneth Arnold not widely seen etc.
Get ready to read some aggressively negative comments on the docu wireclubers. UFO Buffs are a notoriously tribal and sectarian bunch with zero tolerance for anyone who disagrees with their take on UFOs.
But for now anyway 'The Phenomenon' by James Fox is all the rage with many people interested in UFOs. It can be found on Netflix or Amazon.
chronology: Here we go again.
Mr Biden is already facing a stand off with Great Britain's Conservative Party. The United States is committed to a peaceful and continuing process of peace in Ireland. But Britain's Prime Minister is pressing ahead with Brexit rules that could threaten the American sponsored Peace Agreement. Simply put Britain's Prime Mister wants to set up customs block points and prevent easy access to and from Ulster and the Republic of Ireland, after Brexit. Irish Nationalists say these demands by Britain breaks the spirit of the Peace Agreement. The Democrats, who have a long and difficult history trying to reason with Britain's Conservative Party on Human Rights, are concerned that any return to old style boarder check points could threaten the quality of life for all people in Ireland and return to confrontation.
One helpful point for Human Rights observers in the USA is if the Conservatives could loos the next election in Britain and Democrats could deal with a more friendly Labour party in England. But that seems unlikely.
The Democrats have stated that they will not back down in defending the present peaceful climate in Ireland.
chronology: This date 60 years ago, John F Kennedy wins a narrow victory in the U.S. National Election.
It had been a close race and many American historians say Mr Richard Nixon actually won the Election, but due to widespread voter fraud JFK scraped home with a narrow victory.
One of the most notorious incidents in the election was in Texas. 50.000 votes for Mr Nixon were loaded into a truck and driven out into the desert and dumped in a hole.
Mr Nixon however never complained about the vote dumping.
chronology: Oh dear.
Police in Britain were struggling to convict a heroin dealer due his constantly giving them the slip.
But Officers finally managed to arrest the man. They were still doubtful of winning a clear conviction until one Officer checked the man's Dashcam out of curiosity.
The Policeman found that the camera had actually recorded no fewer than 8 sales of heroin with the dealer clearly seen selling his drugs.
He was sent to prison for 3 years. His time in prison will probably be more upsetting knowing his own video recording sent him to jail.
