Sarcastic Dots: This was always going to pass. It's stupid it took so long for this to pass when public support (or indifference) was overwhelmingly in gay marriages favour.

Highlight of the debate was a DUP* MP saying "God created Adam and Steve, not Adam and Eve...oh wait!!"

*Staunchly anti-gay (they used to/might still have a "Save Ulster from Sodomy campaign)

Racism is racism. Looking at Geoffs other threads its not clear what he has in mind with this one.

Cameron is also against Hetro marriages and refues to replace the 'married mans living allowence, thats the tax break for married couples in case you Americans don't know.

Seems Cameron can see how Gays live together but can't see how anyone else does or did.

ASSOCIATION ANALYSIS OF TWO PEOPLE, NOT WOMEN AND A MAN yesterday in the British House of Commons was scheduled vote on the bill amending the definition of marriage.Homosexuals have the right to conclude Islands partnerships and adopt children. According to the proponents of the legalization of marriages between people of the same sex is not sufficient.Gabriel Kayzer The main purpose of the Act is to redefine the institution of marriage and the family. The proposed changes raise concern about Catholic priests, who fear that the result of their speaking out on homosexuality will be united with the allegations of sexual discrimination.According to them, the followers of Christian values will be pushed to the margins of society, and discrimination of Christians in the UK will take the momentum. Also, the spiritual head of the Church of England Justin Welby, in a short time with the archbishopric of Canterbury covered, expressed its opposition to any traditional definition of marriage. term marriage, which is considered far as the relationship of man and woman is to be amended so as to include homosexual couples. The new legal definition is to have impact on the cultural and social interpretation. Opponents of "gay marriage" believe that even using the term in public discourse legitimizes the proposed changes and makes the traditionally conceived marriage is a losing battle. In their view, the promotion of deviance by newspeak is to change the mentality of the people, and consequently lead to the collapse of Western civilization. They also claim that even if the legal definition of marriage is changed, then on the basis of social and cultural, religious and above all remain unchanged. Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron, who suggested changes in this regard is highly fragmented. The law, however, can be adopted Labour and Liberal votes. Part of Cameron's Conservatives sent the petition, which postulated that the vote because they believe the law was not properly prepared, and most importantly, its adoption may reduce the Tories trading. The petition, however, was not taken into account.

Metaverseguy: Actually, the only reason they allow gay marriage in UK isn't because they value equal rights, but because they all voted it's the best way to get Stephen Fry to shut up for a couple of seconds.
