Amazingly, adam is right about "Blue Moon Of Kentucky" ... sort of ...

"In 1995, the remaining Beatles - Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr - performed an impromptu 4/4 version of the song that was eventually released on the Bonus DVD of The Beatles Anthology video release. McCartney had earlier performed and released the song in 1991 as part of his appearance on MTV Unplugged."

Geoff: That was the last time they all performed together. Lennon died long before the 1995 performance. And even if he lived, he quite possibly wouldn't have attended.

Victor Smith (rather unkindly in my opinion) once said that the Beatles were dying in the wrong order after George's death.

When you consider this:

you might feel he has a point..

lavendar_star: I love the Beatles esp John Lennon even though I was born decades after.

Here is a great documentary I watched marking the event on the BBC( I hope you foreigners can watch it I know there is some times restrictions) But its about their first single and the story about that it includes the poor schmuck: Pete Best who got kicked out of the Beatles in favour of Ringo ( he is featured in the doc) and how apparently their manager brought records of their single to ensure they hit the charts and that another dude is playing the drums in the single not Ringo. .

standing when I heard their music, we did the best we could to replicate their music in
the garage, much to my parents dismay. Thanx star

There was a half-hour afternoon television show called "Where The Action Is" ...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where_the_Action_Is

... that I would watch that had all of the latest hot music artists.

Check out the wiki article, and look at the amazing list of Guest Performers...

jink88: sits...I think we could get that show when I lived in the city. Just viewed the site and the guest list is atonishing. Names I haven't heard in ages ie Them, Wayne Fontana, Blues Magoo and even the Buffalo Springfield which launched Neil Young. When you remember those songs from that era they were awesome and often had something important to say.

Paul Revere and the Raiders were, indeed, the "house band" for WTAI.

Their bass player, Phil Volk, was nicknamed "Fang" for his teeth, and had a signature move on that show of flipping his bass over, showing the word "Fang" on the back side. I thought that was the coolest thing in the world.
