badinofftothebone: I favor the wooden coasters for the best thrill ride.

xox G xox: I can honestly say the only rides Ive ever gone on are the carousel, ferries wheel and those big slippery slides all other rides are a no go zone for me. I look at them n my head thinks that looks way cool but theres no way in hell my body will allow me to go on them

Here in Oz we have some great theme parks in Queensland, took the family last year. Locally we have an excellent water park, I like going on the rapids ride.

I much prefer a hike in the bush or being down the beach or snorkeling the reefs for my thrills

badinofftothebone: I agree with you. while I enjoy watching thrill rides, I would need motion sick meds to go on most of them. Snorkeling the reefs sounds like alot more fun.

badinofftothebone: well the Tea party is just a big splash. great on a hot day. But I know what you mean. I could never go on any of those really high coasters. they literally take your breath away. lol

badinofftothebone: we have an old Carousel in EP It was built by Charles Loof. Used to be the centerpiece of 'Crescent Park' an old time amusement park. the old carousel is over 100 yrs old, and features hand carved, wooden, horses and dragons. its the best ever. worth a trip. it's in the riverside area of EP. right on the water.

Candy___: Six Flags has some really great roller coasters , (i admit, i'm an adrenaline junky )

Canada's Wonderland has a pretty good mix of everything

And of course good ol' Disney World

Most of the roller coasters aren't wooden anymore, i loved those.

badinofftothebone: yes. there's something a little more exciting about riding on one of the old wooden coasters..you always have the feeling that at any moment they could go flying off the track.

badinofftothebone: there's a good one in Canobie lake park, in new hampshire. called the Yankee Canonball. not as high or as fast as others, but its an awesome ride, especially at night, going down that first big drop in the darkness. lol
