Did Aliens Do It? (Page 3)

ghostgeek: I may be wrong but there seems to be a general assumption that any aliens visiting Earth will be biological entities. Why should this be so? We humans seem to be reaching the point where we might create an artificial intelligence with powers greater than our own. Combined with developments in robotics we may be on the verge of a new evolutionary phase, the rise of the machines.

guest 1234: Sorry utubes suck my gigs, I don't watch them. Personally I'm more concerned about machines taking our jobs. So much is becoming automated and sson the human race may be out jobs. It is cheaper for a company to use robotics verses ppl. No sick time, no vacation, no pay, no health insurance. The more ppl buy online...the more ppl that are out a job in retail. The list really goes on. What will ppl do to support themselves as companies start using robotics more and more. I was reading that grocery stores have gone online. Ppl just fill up the cart, the cart calculates and deducts from said persons banking account. No need for a cashier.

LiptonCambell: >>>No sick time

I work at a plant that uses an automated machine to trim the excess off of parts- let me tell you-these machines are ALWAYS breaking down. We've actually downgraded the last couple of years, because the automated portion used for spinning the parts was especially prone to breaking down, so now we've got an employee to spin it instead...>>

Have you seen the warehouses Amazon uses? They're several times the size of football fields, with employees averaging a walk of 10 miles a day. Amazon has around 40 of these.....

ghostgeek: Kiplynn, I like to break up a wall of text with a picture now and then but the only way to do it is via a YouTube video. I have a theory, quite cracked really, that we're experiencing a quantum leap in evolution. The transition from biological to nonbiological lifeforms. Quite frightening from a human perspective. If machines become self aware and self replicating those Terminator movies may be more prophetic than was intended. One sees more and more warnings about the possible dangers of smart machines. There again, prophecies about the future usually get it wrong so maybe we have nothing to worry about. With a little tweaking of the tax system it may come about that we all get paid to stay at home and keep the robots employed. I could vote for that.

ghostgeek: Lipton, I was interested to see you mention some guy being employed to spin parts. My old dad used to design machine tools and on occasion he'd mention "spinners". He reckoned you could always tell one by the fact they were always missing a couple of fingers off one hand.

I've heard about those Amazon warehouses. By all accounts people aren't too happy working in them. Also, I hear Amazon is developing flying drones to deliver goods. I guess white van man better watch out.

The trend seems to be to deskill jobs. Automated checkouts, for example, always seem to have somebody whose sole purpose is to show people how to operate them. The way the world seems to be going, the only jobs left for humans to do may soon be the crap ones it isn't worth employing a machine to do.

ghostgeek: It's a scary thought but the human race probably only has one shot at creating advanced technology. If our civilisation collapses and we're thrown back to a pre-industrial stage, even if the knowledge base remains, it would be near impossible to recreate what we have now. As a race we have stripped the Earth of its available energy and resources to such a degree that, without advanced technology, what remains may be beyond reach. If that applies here, it would most probably apply to other alien species that have industrialised. You get one chance and if you fluff it the universe never hears from you.

lori100: gal fed of light-------Things are happening to liberate you from governance that works to suppress your freedom, and release you from lies about what it is doing. ----------The Inner Earth lands of Agartha can then send representatives to you who can further explain your true hidden histories. This rise of the Lemurians is to permit them to open up hidden passages to Inner Earth and uncover many now-buried monuments which contain the records of your ancient and "lost" societies. These records date back to the various golden Ages of humanity, but this is only a start. Much more needs to be made known to you. Our mentors intend to allow you to view parts of your Akashic records and discover how you and your ancestors coped with what was done to them by the dark Anunnaki. These revelations are not meant to shock you, but only to permit you to gain a better understanding of what has been done to you over the past nearly 13 millennia. We are to come to enable you to prepare for your leap into full consciousness.

GeraldtheGnome: Maybe so. PMSL. He was a then politician down in the State of Victoria in Australia, he ran that State for a while, some people joked that all of the World's problems even well before he was born were his fault. I have this on another forum, you would have seen it, but I'll show it on here for those that didn't see it.

ghostgeek: Lori, have you heared of "The Urantia Book" (sometimes called the Urantia Papers or The Fifth Epochal Revelation) a spiritual and philosophical book that originated in Chicago sometime between 1924 and 1955. The authorship remains a matter of speculation. The authors introduce the word "Urantia" as the name of the planet Earth and state that their intent is to "present enlarged concepts and advanced truth." The book aims to unite religion, science and philosophy and its enormous amount of material about science is unique among literature claimed to be presented by celestial beings. Among other topics, the book discusses the origin and meaning of life, mankind's place in the universe, the relationship between God and people, and the life of Jesus. It has been described as "a rich and complex moral narrative, equal parts Tolkien and St. Paul." Urantia is said to be a markedly "confused and disordered" planet that is "greatly retarded in all phases of intellectual progress and spiritual attainment" compared to more typical inhabited worlds, due to an unusually severe history of rebellion and default by its spiritual supervisors. If you're finding it difficult to sleep in the heat, at 2,097 pages long, The Urantia Book is sure to get you nodding off. To take a look follow the link below:

ghostgeek: I wonder how many people remember George Adamski? He claimed that a Venusian scoutcraft visited him twice in 1952. Maybe that was OK back then but it was a claim that sure didn't stand the test of time. Given that we now know its surface is obscured by an opaque layer of clouds made up of sulfuric acid, that atmospheric pressure on Venus is 92 times greater than on Earth and that the average surface temperature is 462 °C, it seems improbable that the planet harbours any life, yet alone an advanced civilisation. There are many fanciful claims being made about aliens but if they lie beyond the bounds of what is probable I think they should be discounted.

ghostgeek: George Adamski (April 17, 1891 – April 23, 1965) was a Polish-born American citizen who became widely known in ufology circles, and to some degree in popular culture, after he claimed to have photographed ships from other planets, met with friendly Nordic alien Space Brothers, and to have taken flights with them. The first of the so-called contactees of the 1950s, he was called a "philosopher, teacher, student and saucer researcher," though his claims were met with skepticism.

He wrote a best-selling book with Desmond Leslie, "Flying Saucers Have Landed", detailing his experiences

lori100: here we go---Courtney Brown believes that humans who have become UFO abductees might actually have volunteered their services while in their subspace aspects -- an agreement they can't remember while living in physical human form.

Midwayers, according to Brown, are subspace beings just outside our physical viewing range. However, occasionally they appear to humans as ghosts or angels.
----------Remote viewer Courtney Brown said the military originally discovered them while remote-viewing non-physical targets from "The Urantia Book," a book of spiritually oriented revelations that mentions the Midwayers.

"The military was shocked to discover these Midwayers actually existed," Brown said.

As far as Brown can determine, the Midwayers are something like guardian angels, assigned to Earth to work with the subspace aspects of humans to promote human evolutionary potential.

GeraldtheGnome: I think without proof that all that claim to be abducted by Aliens, since UFOS don't abduct people, which is kind of like claiming that Cars abduct people, that they are all full of bull$#!7 !

There was no full stops in that Video and most likely at least one other English error, but I wasn't paying attention to it that much.
