~LoisLane~: I never understood that either...We dont do it that way, if someone is in the hospital and they want to come home....you know.....we bring them home.
Such a sad thing I used to work in an Old Age Home (retirement fecility) it was heart breaking to see the poor little older people just hanging around not really doing anything.......Anytime I said "lets do this or that with them" I was shut down pretty quick with things like..."Well their old we dont want to stimulate them that much"....Say what??? There was another really nice one I worked in and it had little hair salons and stuff in it for the ladies and games rooms ect....It was really something , but they are not all like that you know...

~LoisLane~: Yups agree never again will I do that......Yes I was going to say either alzheimers or dementia....that is rough and at some point they do have to go and get more help...people try at home but it is hard to deal with and you definitely need help with those.....its a terrible thing eh...

Rabbit 88: Your parents took care of you when you were not able to take care of yourself.

It is your duty and responsibility to do the same when it is them who cannot take care of themselves.

I find it absolutely disgusting for any person to put their own loving parents into a nursing home for any reason whatsoever..........that's the difference between me and you...........you whine about the problem............I solve the problem.

My comments are strictly aimed at people who were NOT ABUSED and who were brought up with love and the utmost care......and it is to these lowlifes that put their parents into a nursing home that I am talking to.

My wife and I teach at a library in Thailand that was built for the orphanage through the kind and generous donations of the local Thai community.....ourselves included........we further donate food stuffs, clothing, etc. to said orphanage........it is very rewarding indeed.

Jetters: So question here:

How do normal working folk, who HAVE to work, take care of an elderly person who needs around the clock care. When they cant be there around the clock?

Jetters: Exactly my point. Its all good and well to say people are disgusting, but not everyone has the means to stay home and give 24 hr care. The lights dont stay on unless someone pays for them. My dad almost gave himself a goddam heart attack trying to be at my nans side every day, trying to work as well.
