I Wonder If There Is Any Connection ... (Page 3)

StuckInTheSixties:

They stated all kinds of stuff.

I'd be EXTREMELY surprised if any substantial change happens at this point. We may see little minor adjustments, bugs corrected, a button added here or there, but nothing substantial. The more time passes, the less likely it is that they'll bother to make any real changes, and the more likely it is that they'll just go with what they've got, regardless of how illogical it is, or how poorly it works. The more time passes, the more people will get used to it, and stop insisting on making it better.

The total train wreck that is the Pictures page, for example, will remain like it is now ... a total train wreck ...

StuckInTheSixties:

Back to the original thrust of this thread ... is there a relationship between all this flagging and the fact that Wireclub now accepts kids?

I can tell you this ...

I'm quite careful about who I'm talking to now. If I don't know the person, and if it's not OBVIOUS that they're at least well into their twenties or so, I try to see what the age is. If I see that "Under 19" thing, I just won't interact in any way.

I must admit that there's a hint of paranoia in my Wireclub usage now ...

I hate to be so cynical, but truthfully, I can see no advantage to doing so other than economics.

I suppose it's their choice. It's their website. They can do whatever they want with it.

That doesn't mean I have to like it, or think that the intermingling of adults and children is a good idea.
