Magz Rides Again: lol Drew & Caly. It appears he finds it necessary to troll under numerous IDs. I feel sorry for him. I think it's funny he finds the need to give me personal attacks considering not once did I call him anything. If he chooses to categorise himself as extremist, that is his choice.

As for my state of mind. I don't make apologies for having issues, nor do I allow it to define me. I am certain of who I am and I like me. Generally, those that find it necessary to judge others and condemn them are the ones who need our sympathy as they clearly don't like to look too deeply at themselves and their own issues. So ready to see criticism of themselves from others. So sad.

Magz Rides Again
Magz Rides Again: Ronny2
Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I chose to reread this entire thread. The following is my initial reference to extremists on both sides of the fence. Should you choose to go back and look, you will see that this is accurate and has never been edited. Please tell me where it is that I personalised my comment in direction to you???

[I honestly don't care whether you believe or not. what I do care is about that those who quietly go about their business are often thrown in with extremists...extreme atheists, agnostics and those that worship a God of some sort.

Unfortunately extreme atheists and certain fundamentalists seem to thrive on attacking one another and getting angry all the time about the other's ignorance and inability to accept that they are wrong.]

Only the very first sentence mentions you at all. Other than that, I spoke of extremists in general terms and not once did I imply that you were one. It is you who chose (again) to assume that I was talking about you.

If you are so sure of who I am as a person, then you will know that I do not go on personal attacks EVER as I see them as someone's failure to argue his/her point sensibly and soundly.

You ask if I remember who first said to me "as long as you are happy, then I am happy". My response to this is no I do not as this would have happened some years ago in real life.

However, if you mean to boast that you are the first to say this here, then yes I congratulate you on your generosity.

Returning to your statement that I "did attack" you. Please direct me to that post so that I may see what you are referring to.

JeanYves72: How is that an attack? It is from what I have seen a very astute observation. You call people who have a faith in a higher being weak. Yet to choose to worship, and it is a choice, shows strength as we, as humans, are generally an arrogant lot. Just look at your attempt here to disrupt the thread and the obvious attempts to draw Anne into an argument to feed your sense of self-righteousness. And you do come off that way Ronny.

Magz Rides Again: And how is that an attack? If anything I showed you concern and interest. Even curiosity. I omitted them as I never perceived them to be an attack.

I ask you now, how does that say that I'm calling you an extremist? They are not even in the same paragraphs.

Point5andahalf
Point5andahalf: In answer to the first post:
They were good ads made in jest to make us think. That's what the program is for. To make you think.
But of course it would be impossible to ban religion.
I think religion is giving way to a more progressive understaning of faith and spirituality as more people are realizing their own truth. It takes generational change for these things to happen. And now, in the techno/info age, I believe religious dogma will fade. And spiritual unity is possible.

I agree with you Anne, you seem to be a bit more progressive, rather than fundamentalist, like Ronny

Nicotina2
Nicotina2: I prefer the 1st add. "Let's make religion history" is catchy and I really like the simplistic approach taken. The 2nd add bombards us with images of pain and hatred that most people have been so overexposed to that they hardly make an impact any more.

I'd prefer there to be no religion. Love each other, it's that simple.
Banning religion won't work. This has been shown throughout history.
"god" is NOT love.
