16/1/22 Sunday Music Session seri8888: Welcome back music lovers. Always a pleasure to gathered here with you all. Another year of sharing and opening ourselves to old and new music, another year to enjoy the similarities and differences in our taste in music. *The main points here are to share, enjoy the songs, and to enjoy the company too. *Event start time 10pm Australia time (check your countries timezones). * This is a FRIENDS only room. Guests are welcome and anyone interested can message yobs *We post 5 tunes each, with song, artist/s name and MOST importantly the Youtube link. A playlist will be created from these links *Depending on the number of people attending 5th song might be dropped. *If you choose to have A long song kept it 6 to 8 minutes the rest of the songs to be kept shorter *If you don't intend to turn up please don't post any tunes, we will wait some time for people to attend, BUT the show must go on! A reminder about the "Friends only" chat room we use ** It was realised early on that having to explain to every chatter that dropped into the room whilst the session was active was a repetitive choir that just broke the flow of the session. The sessions/playlists are set so that we take turns in having our choices heard and enjoyed. This may seem somewhat restrictive or regimental to some but it ensures that everyone gets a fair crack at having their choices heard. In an open chat room this is never the case as people just post over the top of one another and it just becomes a big mess. That's not to say that it doesn't work as obviously people can pick and choose which (or none) of the song links that have been posted. The playlist style that we use for the sessions has worked well for over 5 years on this site and was used successfully on a previous site for about the same amount of time. Chat during the sessions is not only encouraged, it's welcomed!! and the group is a lovely bunch of people with a wide variety of music tastes.
