Get a Song Stuck in Someone's Head
Geoff: Bonus points if it's a terrible song.
I'll start with something not terrible, just to give you the idea.
(I tossed a coin whether to post this here or in Forum Games)
Geoff: I am not listening to this song. But it is most definitely terrible.
And I want it out of the way before someone else posts it.
Geoff: Maybe I should have specified "No Canadian acts".
But then, Deb gets points. I now have Shirley Temple stuck in my head.
Yes I am serious and don't call me Shirley.
Mz D Meaner: Thanks for the warning about the Rednex song. I've not heard that one before and won't listen to it either. Here's a spinner for the brain.
Geoff: @Deb - Did you see the re-release of that?
I can't find the official video, but this is the lead singer Pete Burns in 2006.
(I had to go to Wikipedia to find this, I can't believe it's 12 years ago)
Mz D Meaner: Whoa...I knew he had "changed" but hadn't seen that video before. He died a couple years ago.
Mz D Meaner: I think it was when he died that I saw the new look. Hadn't heard anything about him before that since the 80s.
Here's another delightful infectious song.
Geoff: Oh. I have actually been drinking with that man.
Richard Fairbrass. I (in costume) wound up in a bar in Bristol with him and (for some reason) Sylvester McCoy (the seventh Doctor Who) after going to see the Rocky Horror Show at the Bristol Palladium.
There I was in stockings and suspenders, hanging out with two minor celebs.
Richard is a very nice chap. He is funny, he is very aware of everyone around him. And he is awfully nice. Canadianly Nice.
(Edited by Geoff)
Mz D Meaner: the Call Me Maybe song I actually don't mind because I think of this funny chatroulette video when I hear it. The Friday song I had blocked from my mind until now. Thanks.
Mz D Meaner: That's pretty cool about winding up in a bar with Richard Fairbrass and Sylvester McCoy. Must have been interesting!
