Mz Demeanor: Seeing the "Is This Love Song" made me remember this quote I like.

This one's a bit sappy, but still a good one.

Mz Demeanor: That Falling In Love (is hard on the knees) video reminded me of this one.
The whole video is funny but this particular line always cracks me up:

Corwin: You're not thinking outside the box, Deb. I think some of the best love songs are the sad ones.

Mz Demeanor: I don't believe I called this thread SAD love songs. I said "sweet, old-fashioned" "and/or funny". Nowhere did I say "sad". Please read the first forum post. But o.k. I'll give you a sad-type love song from the great Axl Rose. I would have posted "I Used To Lover Her But I Had To Kill Her" but youtube wouldn't let me share it.

Corwin: I can top that. Nothing says sad more than a sad country love song covered by one of the most beloved singers of our time who has passed away.

Corwin: Here's one of the best love songs of all time, I think.
This puts a tear in the eye too, but in more of a happy way.



And I think if a love song doesn't move you, happy or sad, it's not doing it's job.
