Soundgarden or Audioslave ? Rockster: Chris Cornell, fronted both Soundgarden and Audioslave before going solo, but which group do you prefer ? Nosferatu: They´re both pretty good and very similar so it´s hard to choose. Both bands play the same genre of music. I think Audioslave is a little less depressing to listen to than Soundgarden though so I´ll choose them. Rockster: I only have Audioslave's first album, I'd love to get their others and I have three albums by Soundgarden. Do you approve by how people compare them to Led Zeppelin ? deviousstare: audioslave; but soundgarden isnt bad, just between the two audio has more songs with background music to hang on to. Nosferatu: I don't think it's fair to compare them to Led Zeppelin. They are both very different bands. Led Zeppelin would sing about love and Audioslave sings about suicide, death, and loneliness. CheezPeace: isnt like the lead singer of soundgarden the same for audio slave? technically its really similar just different time periods, and backup members. in the end, i like audioslave though but ORGINAL GNR the best... Rockster: Yes, Chris Cornell was vocalist for both Soundgarden and Audioslave (he joined three members of Rage Against The Machine to form band). Yes I agree the original line-up for Guns N' Roses are better and I should know as I saw them live in Milton Keynes, England in'92. PTBO52: Heard "Soundgarden" were getting back together for a tour this year? I wonder if its the old members? Money can talk! TheClassicist: Soundgarden by a long way. I like pretty much everything they did. From the Hiro Yamamoto days right up until the end. Audioslave, I like too, but not their entire catalogue. KailahMariah: definitely soundgarden. just so many great songs that use great metaphors. soundgarden really made me think and I grew up with it. Naboo_the_Enigma: the Pearl Jam song 'smells like a teen spirits' is great and they doesnt afraid of anything! samuel_bilbrey2003: soundgarden for me their my favorite band i love audioslave to but chris was amazing in soundgarden he could sing high pitched notes that were outstanding but their both good bands in my book but i believe for me soundgarden were the better band KailahMariah: nirvana made smells like teen spirit, pearl jam was just another grunge band at the time, kurt cobain sounds totally different than eddie vedder, but naboo, at least ur in the same genre KailahMariah: actually I don't think anyone can beat Nirvana for best out of the grunge scene. I mean really? Their angst was so powerful, i mean really have you heard the song something in the way and how kurt sang their cover of the man who sold the world? Nirvana defined the beginning of grunge. Plus, Foo Fighters which is one of my favorite bands came out of that with Dave I mean he is amazing and both bands were and still are although kurt is gone and there is no nirvana. The Foo Fighters brought it to the next level. Gosh I love music lol especially when there is so much that you can relate to | Music Chat Room 23 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
