Soundgarden or Audioslave ?

Rockster
Rockster: Chris Cornell, fronted both Soundgarden and Audioslave before going solo, but which group do you prefer ?

Nosferatu
Nosferatu: They´re both pretty good and very similar so it´s hard to choose. Both bands play the same genre of music. I think Audioslave is a little less depressing to listen to than Soundgarden though so I´ll choose them.

Rockster: I only have Audioslave's first album, I'd love to get their others and I have three albums by Soundgarden. Do you approve by how people compare them to Led Zeppelin ?

Nosferatu
Nosferatu: I don't think it's fair to compare them to Led Zeppelin. They are both very different bands. Led Zeppelin would sing about love and Audioslave sings about suicide, death, and loneliness.

CheezPeace: isnt like the lead singer of soundgarden the same for audio slave? technically its really similar just different time periods, and backup members.

in the end, i like audioslave though

Rockster: Yes, Chris Cornell was vocalist for both Soundgarden and Audioslave (he joined three members of Rage Against The Machine to form band). Yes I agree the original line-up for Guns N' Roses are better and I should know as I saw them live in Milton Keynes, England in'92.

TheClassicist: Soundgarden by a long way. I like pretty much everything they did. From the Hiro Yamamoto days right up until the end.

Audioslave, I like too, but not their entire catalogue.

KailahMariah: actually I don't think anyone can beat Nirvana for best out of the grunge scene. I mean really? Their angst was so powerful, i mean really have you heard the song something in the way and how kurt sang their cover of the man who sold the world? Nirvana defined the beginning of grunge. Plus, Foo Fighters which is one of my favorite bands came out of that with Dave I mean he is amazing and both bands were and still are although kurt is gone and there is no nirvana. The Foo Fighters brought it to the next level. Gosh I love music lol especially when there is so much that you can relate to
