J Edgar chronology: Many of the Movies made about J Edgar Hoover in the past have simply polished the image of the man who was one of the worlds leading Cold War worriers. You need to consider that Mr Hoover served the country he loved for a long time. As child he was the first person to congratulate the Wright Brothers after their successful flight, he was still in Office when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon. As a young man Southern Ladies curtsied when they were introduced to men, as an old man he must have winced at the revues of 'Hair' the musical. Hollywood are unlikely ever to make a unbiased Movie of his life. The spirit of Hollywood is 'live and let live, how you get your rocks off is no one else's business', those were not Mr Hoover's values.  menganta_25: There is evidence that Hoover had family members who are black..
