They could never make it now. streaky: An exceptional one was The Last Picture Show. Terrific youthful cast and Ellen Burstyn and Cloris Leachman. Atmospheric. Need I say more? SoulSister2023: I love the movie Casino because three hours fly by in two minutes full of non stop escapism that Captured Deniro, Stone, Pesci at the perfect age and best acting I've seen in a lifetime. It's one of the greatest TV shows of all time karlball777: Conan The Barbarian with Arnold, not that skinny guy. Why? I just discovered bodybuilding at 13yrs old and shortly after Conan was being promoted. Seeing pics of a huge strong guy appealed to me, so I started training. Then whilst driving my moped home fro college a car hit me, left my right leg hanging by skin amd a little over an inch of my Tibia on the road. Had amnesia for over a week, Arnold's movie helped me get through, along with letters wishing me well I received from Tom Platx, Boyer Coe, Mike Mentzer and Mohamed Makkawy. craig_rodgers_09: Entourage got me through homelessness had the entire series on my laptop it helped me r_plikerd: I love Tommy Boy, The Martian, almost anything Pixar. For me, I love movies tgat give me an escape from real life with an entertaining story and a happy ending. I get why people make and enjoy movies aimed at social consciousness issues, but tge rare time I have for a movie, I want entertainment. I’ll check tge social consciousness issues on a news feed :-) bpwilliams50: Powder, The Green Mile, Rain Man, Forest Gump, Jupiter Rising, Sisu (found this one on YT shorts, great flick) most of the Marvel and DC movies are some of the movies I've enjoyed over the years. Find a few gems to watch via YT shorts. bpwilliams50: Hollywood appears to out of new ideas or only capable of making animated movies -- regarding the past 5-10 years predominately putting out animated movies and remakes of movies. Least this is my observation. adriarsene0228: Aw man, this one is always gonna be a changing answer for me.. but right now, I've been really into Groundhog Day (1993) and the original two Ghostbusters movies from the 80s. But I am open to movies with a good heart, I think.. Movies that can suck me in and keep me in their worlds until the end credits. Things that can make me laugh or cry and be purposeful, but still be escapist, y'know? Or things that can scare me really well. | Movies Chat Room 1 Person Chatting Similar Conversations |
