I don't know much about it, except the "Shades of Gray " movie and what i read. But I do wonder about the lifestyle. How it fits into a person's life. Anyone who has had the experience, as Dom or Sub, real or online, please post about it. I think people want to know about the real experience, not just what is in books and porn. ice hawkie jill: what I have been seeing are alot of dominants who know anything about the lifestyle cutenancy76: Perhaps that is because dominant personalities are extroverts, who are willing to share their experiences? That is a good thing, I suppose. Is there a shame component underlying the submissive lifestyle? I chatted with one submissive person who said there was. If so, that is unfortunate.  katie_the_fake_witch: shame can be fun though, so can disgust, embarrassment and humiliation. it all depends on your limits and kinks and partner. I find it hard to make any generalizing statements about subs or doms because we all do it so differently. cutenancy76: I have gathered as much. I seem to have strong submissive tendencies myself. For a long time the feelings you mentioned aroused me, but I tried to repress them. Just finding out about this lifestyle freed me to feel the feelings. katie_the_fake_witch: I encourage you to feel what comes to the surface. Repressing is no fun.
