What hobbies are fun to try out and affordable for almost anyone? AretoNyx: I am open to any ideas to hobbies of any sort to try on my time off from work. I enjoy crafty stuffs, journaling of sorts some, video games, reading, hiking, and other stuff presently. Though hobbies to volunteering I have less time now because work hours are all over, and budget is still very tight to afford even crafty stuffs. I am not great at things but hope to do things helpful to useful most. I love spending time with family or as group gaming and other activities. Been a while since I hiked but my job has me walk all day , and much lifting so a bit beat on days off to do much on physical hobbies. I read library books more but hubby rather buy books. What are hobbies any of you enjoy with others or by yourself at any cost? What are good hobbies that are to try out and relax? I am interested in trying things I have not before. Any ideas sound good to me to learn about. KeithJ: Plainfield is my hometown shalean2002 and my family were the founders of the first county which happens to be Hendricks Co. the Friends graveyard just south of the Police academy is my family's and before that old brick structure it was a log building before Indiana was a state and one of my relatives of the name Hadley made the state flag in the 1916 centennial . The giant midget: NYx because of limited space around the house, consider vegetable garden with planters.its very easy to start such a thing Dirt ,plant, water and a good chitchat and voilà Tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, etc AretoNyx: Smaller space than that and no sun enough. However maybe very tiny potted plants that do not grow much and can take shade. AretoNyx: I really got to make time for somethings such as hobbies more. Work , family, and self care time to balance. I mostly work and started dreaming it all I am there so much. 😂 cbg_burt: Cigar box guitars are cheap and fairly easy to build - but some tools are needed. They are also pretty easy to play. Another benefit is they make great wall art and conversation pieces. In fact, I never planned to sell them but people are always commissioning me to build them one or they buy one right out of my hands. Any hobby that pays for itself and even makes money is a win/win. oceanviews: Bird watching. Get out in nature and take pictures of different species of birds. You can check out a site called ebird.com. May even show birds in your area. Lots of people do it so may meet people that are interesting to chat with. Maybe find Facebook groups where you can post your pictures. MitchW632: I like to play chess at Chess.com. It keeps my mind active as I approach death from atherosclerosis at 86. It gets my mind off my terrible reality. AretoNyx: Reality can be a drain but hope you find good bits. I have to look for good bits just to get get through a day often. All of these ideas are great. justinspurgeon423: I like to stamp leather and make my own things like my wallet and lighter cases ex ex it's cheep and some times really time consuming | hobbies Chat Room Similar Conversations |
