Precious Pea: 5 Ayurvedic remedies for improving immunity

1. Start the day with Tulsi, Pippali (fruit of long pepper) and ginger tea to strengthen and cleanse the upper respiratory tract.

2. Use turmeric and black pepper in the meals daily, to boost immunity and reduce ama (toxins). Turmeric can be taken as a drink with almond milk or added to morning oats to prepare a nourishing golden porridge.

3. Minimize intake of red meat and avoid usage of any processed meats like bacon, sausage, nuggets, ham, etc.

4. Take 15 ml of Amla juice daily. Optionally, take Chyavanprash to supply extra antioxidants and strengthen the immunity.

5. Drink plenty of warm water. Staying well hydrated will keep the throat and mucous membrane moist, supporting its action as a good barrier to all microbes.

haroldg206: I recently discovered Echinacea tea with Elderberry, been mixing it with my coffee, these two items are useful in helping the immune system, i did research in what the best supplements are for the immune system and these two are mentioned, gives my coffee a unique flavor and healthy, been also adding clove oil to my coffee, more health benefits along with the caffeine, look forward to waking up these days, i know the mask is recommended, even required in most places, but that doesn't mean i can't take extra steps and research ways to further prevent coronavirus sickness, reinforcements

John4466: While I love Andrew Saul and have his thick book on Orthomoleculair Therapies it is still symptomatic based medicine and in my view only for emergencies as too much of one supplement can easily throw out the nutritional balance very easily. I myself have done Nutritional Balancing with dr L Wilson which focusses on getting the minerals back into our system since most if not all of us these days are depleted and full of heavy metals that cause havoc in the body since heavy metals are used by the body when we are depleted as they come often right under the minerals in the periodic table. The body will actually start to automatically detox ( and deeoer than chelators like EDTA, DMPS, DMSA etc) ones the body gets replenished. After 6 weeks my wife and I suddenly noticed a level of energy we hadn't had for a long time and obviously our mitochondria had improved. Now that said. Dr Jack Kruse talks a lot about redox potential; sunlight and the mitochondria so while good food is important, is still only a foot print of photosynthesis (stored energy). Sunlight provides two thirds of our energy levels and the reason why we often put on weight in winter is because we try to compensate for the lack of energy from the sun. While the focus out there is often just food there are other major things that come first like sun, earthing and having a EMF safe bedroom so the body can properly repair at night. Our immune system is our best defense.
