LiptonCambell
LiptonCambell: Anyone have it? Anyone wanna talk about it?

My girlfriend developed epilepsy when she was pregnant. She's since had about 15 seizures in the last 11 months....we have an infant, so it's a rough scene....

children70126: It is very hard. Epilepsy changes your life and a lot of people don't understand the disorder. Ask your neurologist every question that pops in your head, make sure your wife takes her meds, be there for her, be frustrated ( you will be), and live life like everyone else ( you are). Take it easy when need be but other wise go on like before. If you don't you will feel you and your wife aren't normal, you guys are something else. That will make her health worst and your family life HELL! Yes you guys do have a complicated situation in your lives. But all married people do, yours is a little more complicated. You deal with it together and your family and wife will be fine. It will take time but like with everything done right and with time, you can't go wrong. I know a lot about this because I live with this situation EVERYDAY.
