It is as native to the land as corn, and has been used by inhabitants here almost since its inception. In fact it can grow almost anywhere on the continents and has been called a "weed." In fact, the slang name for the drug is weed. Some good. Some bad. People classify narcotics to different degrees. I'm sure every DEA agent has tried narcotics before. Princes and presidents have admitted drug use. Nearly everyone has experimented with things before. To try things in moderation isn't going to hurt anyone. Tylenol, alcohol, and cigarettes are all drugs. People can overdose from aspirin, alcohol can kill people in one day or destroy their liver over a lifetime. We know cigarettes cause lung cancer. The most abused drugs today are not street drugs bought from a drug dealer, but prescription drugs that are given to them from an M.D. that has gone to 4 years of medical school on top of college. Adderall and ritalin have similar effects to meth, speed, and cocaine. They are given in small doses to children and known to be mildly harmful. College kids binge on energy drinks before finals. Even fast food is claimed to cause obesity and lead to diabetes. I've read articles saying 0 calorie sweeteners that replace sugar cause diabetes. Soda is unhealthy. Diet soda is unhealthy. I could eat a piece of raw sushi, or have improperly cooked ham in a sandwich, or even tapioca pudding and drop dead from all three of those things. I've never heard anyone dying from marijuana, or overdosing from marijuana. I've heard that it decreases I.Q. and affects mathematic ability. Seeing how 80% of people on this planet believe in God and 25% believe Jesus is coming back, combined with how so many people would like to cut education out of the budget I don't think people are most worried that it will make you dumb. Clearly, most people don't seem to have a problem with being dumb. I've heard a lot of stupid national anthems, but none that have been overtly proud of their stupidity. I wish people would be more open with how stupid they are, but instead we are forced to hear how everyone is a genius and then listen to their pathetic arguments about different issues and we have to come up with our own conclusion (that they are stupid). It's used in hospitals to get people to eat. Just face it, a lot of times life sucks and people would prefer to have chemical happiness than to sit around and wonder why their bodies don't produce enough dopamine. Clearly, working hard and marriage are poor ways of maintaining a happy life. This substitute could be beneficial to a lot of people. Although, I thought I heard some news program repeat the article. So apparently some news channel is full of idiots. one with the trees: its impossible to overdose on weed .yould have to smoke about 2000 joints in 5 minutes .humanly not possible ...but ill challange anyone to try . Metaphorguy: Well, it's probably best to stay away from alcohol and other drugs, including psychotropic drugs such as marijuana, but I think by legalizing it in some places users can have the freedom to smoke the drug to heart's content without fear of criminal punishment or losing an opportunity to work. But there are some harmful effects to the narcotic, when used recreationally and not for reducing cancer sarcomas and tumors. Of course, despite being legal in some places they aren't going to get away from the occasional ridicule. A lot of people like to point their finger and preach and be vocal about its harm. one with the trees: thats it most of the people that poke and preach about how bad weed is are uneducated idiots that think that people snort it up there nose or through injection like a class drugs...iv herd it all before ..oh god how much of that shit is he putting up his nose.lol.i just smoke it BeachBumBill: I grew up with pot smokers ...
