Marijuana: The Miracle Drug
Metaverseguy: Marijuana has been shown to fight cancer and is better for the lungs than smoking cigarettes. Not only that, but this wonder drug can't be overdosed on. Twenty year study shows that even daily use for over a decade has no negative impact on the lungs. So light up and smoke a blunt.
Metaverseguy: I ben using dis mirakle droog the last too weaks since I red this arkicle and I can assure you, god damnit, this is the best gift EArth have let us hav. And not only dat, yo, but ther aint no negative side affex. Finaly! Pefect euforic bliss and good feeeeling wit no repoorcushins. Hallelooyahhhhhhhhh!
_TRUTH_: I agree on it being able to help people with cancer and other problems. But in teenagers its used to get high and kill brain cells. When you of age, I beleive that marijuana is much better than drinking or other drugs. It should be legalized to buy mary jane, its way less harmless than drinking or popping pills.
Metaverseguy: Yea teenagers really shouldn't begin to use it so they can pass their classes. Even college students should use it only occasionally. Usually the ones that smoke everyday are the guys that drop out or have to repeat a year.
jink88: I don't believe pot helps fight cancer. It does increase the appetite and dull some of the pain.
_TRUTH_: I know that it helped my mom when she had cancer. I don't beleive that my 17 yr old son should be smoking as he does!
Colorado Becomes First State To Legalize Marijuana
The Rocky Mountain High just got a whole lot higher. On Tuesday night, Amendment 64 -- the measure which sought the legalization of marijuana for recreational use by adults -- was passed by Colorado voters, making Colorado
Metaverseguy: It also passed in Washington as medically in a couple other states. It's still illegal federally though.
astridarris: Makes Me paranoid...Kinda sucks Cuz I would love to smoke weed and understand why so many people Love it. Go figure?
Monica98: You tricked me!!!
Metaverseguy: Well I never mentioned that it was wholly without side effects. Yes, this drug is a little bit harmful and can show up on urine tests that are part of many employment processes, during police investigations, and can impair cognition, but look what your article says about long-term use:
"Our understanding of marijuana's long-term brain effects is limited. Research findings on how chronic cannabis use affects brain structure, for example, have been inconsistent. It may be that the effects are too subtle for reliable detection by current techniques."
The active ingredient, THC, can also be ingested through hash brownies, or chocolate bars completely circumventing the damage to lungs, even though bongs and vaporizers reduce a lot of the damage as well. Quite frankly, I think that if people do use this they should use it very moderately. Certainly we all can become very depressed occasionally and it is better than other more dangerous drugs out there.

Metaverseguy: Yea come to think about it, everyone I know who smokes weed often thinks things are being controlled by the top 1% and the illuminati and that everything will turn out like 1984.
jsonaut: Do you Python? Cause I do, but that's not quite what I meant! Personal paranoia, and personal disrespect is what I was getting at, but the whole ...we are pawns... argument is no doubt true.
Metaverseguy: I've seen documentaries talking about secret organizations and how a group of very rich and powerful people meet annually, but I don't think the top 1% has direct control over our lives. Sure, they own a lot of resources, but they can't tell us what we can do and control us like puppets.
jsonaut: They don't own "a lot" of resources, they own all of them. They do tell you what to eat, what to wear, what to think. Whether you listen to them is up to you, but a lot of people go along with it.
Anyway, smoke it up if you want, or don't if you don't wanna, that's freedom.
Metaverseguy: Yea I know a lot of politicians are bought by multi-millionaires that haven't gotten off their fat asses and done any work in years, but what can we do? It's a never ending cycle that has been with us for centuries.
astridarris: I wish I could partake but it stiffels my breathing and my heart races terribly...I dont get why?
Metaverseguy: When you inhale the smoke it can cause a burning feeling in the lungs and if you aren't used to the drug you can cough uncontrollably for awhile. They sell THC inside brownies or cookies and other treats which gets rid of the lung problems. Bongs also try and remove the pollutants that you would get from a joint or hash pipe. It will typically raise the heart rate though from 20-100% according to webmd. So people with high blood pressure or heart problems should probably avoid the drug.
astridarris: Thanks, Much appreciated....I notice if intake a good amount my nerves all start twitching uncontrollably as well.......I really wish i could get a handle on it cause i do enjoy the Clarity of everything.
astridarris: Ok im partaking and i still have not fully mastered it ( the calm state) but I am trying. I do notice that it helps me relax more when my eyes are closed and Im in the still darkness at night in My bed...However if im up in the day milling about, i get very nervous. Whats up with that?
