Aura: (warning, annoying fan here)

At heart Undertale is a old school side-scroller RPG in a fantasy setting.
What makes the game different is that it is self aware. Not really in an A.I. "open the pod bay doors HALL" but it still messes with you sometimes. It will also mess with your computer a little. I have a strong suspicion Toby Fox used to write viruses lol. But don't worry it's safe.

And if that's enough to get you to look at it, I'm not going to say anything else because the less you know going into the game the better the game will be.

Aura
Aura: "side-scroll" means you controll a little human (in the case of Undertale, no one knows the gender) that walks in a 2D world from left to right. In this game you can also walk right to left so you can go back.

Um it's on steam, Google says Win and MacOS so yeah computer only.

struanrobertson02: Side Scrollers are great.

All the old Nintendo games, Mega Man, Mario, Metroid etc etc etc.
Good games and all close to my heart.

A Side scroller Is basically what is said on Aura's post, the screen scrolls (moves) with the person movng left or right. Pretty cool and is basically in just about all retro games.

struanrobertson02: I prefer FPS shooters over any game, I know it sounds typical. But come on, FPS was a huge step in gaming. Also without FP their would be no FNAF. Some of the best games have FPS: Halo 1,2,3, COD 4 & MW2, Dying Light, Dead Island, Half Life 1 & 2, Bioshock, System Shock, Battlefield, Doom 1, 2, 3, Border Lands 1, 2 and Pre, Team Fortress, Any Tom Clancy game. But anyway it's just the overall style that I like.

Third Person games have the biggest catalogue though. Mass Effect, Fallout, Skyrim, GTA, Red Dead Redemption etc etc etc.

What is everyone elses fav style in games though? Their is loads.

struanrobertson02: And to stay on topic. If it not's out yet, do you think the FNAF movie will be any good? Or will it be shot down by being over hyped? Any thoughts?

Aura: My reflexes and aiming skills are subpar, FPS just aren't for me. (That said I absolutely love Bioshock. What a beautiful polished game)
My favorite is top down; turn based strategy (X-com, Incubation) real time strategy (dawn of war etc) god/building (roller coaster tycoon, tropico)
I also have a love for Lucas arts style adventure games, but sadly that's a dying breed.

"will the fnaf movie be any good?" That's a though question. In horror movies the jump scare is a cheap scare. And if it's not 'you' it's a lot harder to feel invested, so if they stay true to the game I doubt it will be all that good. Ofcourse if they don't stay all that true to the game the fans will throw diva fits so it' a damned if you do, damned if you don't type thing. It's certainly creepy enough to make something decent of it. I'll have to wait and see.
