Halo better then call of duty? Ðârķ Øηệ: No they are not, halo 2 alone logged over a billion hours of online gameplay, and thats not even counting the campaign. Ðârķ Øηệ: more people are playing the halo franchaise. I have both cod4 and Halo3 and the servers on Cod4 are empty compaired to halo. KidBlaze98: Meh...personally I prefer to play Bioshock or the old school Doom than play either. I like it when a game scares the crap out of you...but if I had to choose which is better, I'd say Halo. While still a great game, COD kinda dropped the ball with number 5. Sorry, just my opinion. KidBlaze98: When it comes to COD(mostly just talking about COD4 & 5)Vs. Halo as far as online play, it's kinda like comparing The Beatles band to The Joannes Brothers band...I'm not saying that's a bad thing I'm just saying that that's how I see it. I know the Halo wasn't the the first game to make fun online FPS play...Doom, Quake, Unreal Tournament...just to name a few, came before it...But, The Halo series just took it to what I like to call a 'hole 'nother level! The Halo games aren't the most original games I've ever played...but, they are some of the best...and coming from a retro gamer, I think that's really saying something. Don't get me wrong, the COD series is great...really great, but, as far as online play, Halo is superior...but to me, the premise and story in COD4 is in contention with the entire Halo series. Halo alone played a huge part in making the xbox so successful, I remember when halo 2 was going to come out everyone I knew was absolutely freaking out and that of course grew with halo 3, but I never remember people acting like that when COD4 came out, there was excitement of course, but no where near the level that halo produced. Dizzy: In content, they're very much different: HALO is for the alien blasting FPS gamer, whereas CoD is for those interested in war games. If the halo people incorporated the bot feature into halo 3 it would be a lot better. youngforyou: halo trannslated as 光晕 in chinese serperatly 光 means "total" 晕 means "dizzy" and this game make me go dizzy totally random1: games 2 years old and theres still 60 000 people playing social slayer online at this hour... like both games, still taking halo over Cod... it could be as simple as i picked up halo 3 online first... also, their contols are completely at odds with eachother... the button that reloads on one game throws a nade in the other... id lose the edge if i started playing the competition (COD) hahahah...  French_Inside: halo 1 and 2 were really good. halo 3 was just really the same crap with some new stuff. The graphics are mediocre but the online is still fun to play. the campaign was just lame especially at the end. cod 4 is by far the best cod.The multiplayer just wowed me. Kill streaks, really good graphics, customizable slots, intense battles. cod world at war was made by different ppl who made it garbage so let's not compare it to halo. Thankfully, modern warfare 2 is coming which will be even better than cod4.. the new expansion for halo is running on the same engine as halo 3, so nothing new in visuals. This time ur a very weak soldier with different weapons, ok... it looks exactly the same as halo 3 and they're making u pay 60$ for a 5 hour campaign. to me, cod is much better b/c its always something different in everygame and most of time it's good. halo just went downhill after halo 2.
