The Free Market economies that think/believe in the the individual proprietary privilege will provide solutions for any contingency-irrespective of natural forces-are, IMNHO, equally false and wrong. We ARE components of an entire system, than free agents of our own prerogatives. At some point, quantitatively, in populations the size of India-China a subordination, if not a total reformation of thought regarding expectations of autonomously thought out aspirations will have reached the margins of sole proprietary prerogatives. In toto, humans are at those margins, where trade-offs are in play. The indulgences and the manner of indulgences of the past need a reconfiguration of form-substance for any new propositions of possibilities. FOREWARD RECENT CLIMACTIC CHANGES (NOTE THE BANDS IN THE TEMPERATE [NOTE THE TEMPERATE, NON-SUBTROPICAL/TROPICAL] ZONES) MIGRATION PATTERNS ACROSS EURASIA ====================================== THESIS​ When thinking about the contemporary migrants in RV's, seeking seasonal work, I remembered the mentions of the U.S. Plains Indigenous Nations' seasonal migrations moving with the seasonal changes of winter-to-spring-to-summer to fall-to winter. That's when this insight hit me: Cultures and the technologies of cultures were and are based on both the sedentary and transitory nature of their predominate demographic-along with their geographic and latitudinal juxtaposition to their chosen form of culture. The Eurasian (and later the North American) continent was unique for its N-S/W-E expansiveness in the temperate zone which Africa/S America-below the equator doesn't have; as well, the African/Arabian coast subject to the dried out winds from the west in the Mediterranean climate. For the temperate latitudes of Eurasia-North America, there was enough land for extensive cultivation. Once cultivation reached a surplus that could be sold, markets-centers that developed to commercial "metropolises" developed. All changes were accompanied by more efficient, expedient technologies for doing things-in the 'Mother of Necessity'-mode in a commercial centered economy. Back to the nomads, moving with the season and foraging. Their 'skills' didn't require the nuanced sophistication developing in the marketing centers. The technologies that did develop were relevant to their form of existence. The market centers, when accessible for visitations, offered products that supplemented what their more crude technologies couldn't produce in quality, nor quantity. Applying and extrapolating that to domestic nomads and international migrants, a pattern appears. Those dislocated by changing technical or economic dynamics are on the move. Their forced necessity is more man-made than nature forced. The results are similar. Whether more sedentary in the urban markets of convenience as the 'Homeless', or on the road in de facto RV-nomad or international migrant "tribes": we are seeing the emergent evolution of culture and skills of these literal journeyman/women. Will society find a way to enable them to be more domesticated and sedentary, or are we witnessing what the empire/civilizations of antiquity faced of roving bands and tribes that were a nuisance to their commercial order?? Is this possible scenario a sign of the entropic degradation of the present model of commercial production and distribution from both the economic, social dynamics that are augmented by the effects of the more extreme swings in atmospheric phenomena during the different seasons? Have the structural labor and economic excess developing not only the technical skills for their asymmetrical existence, but the accompanying ethos of estrangement and disaffection from the mores of the more sedentary denizens of the commerce distribution systems? I posted elsewhere as a disciple of Howard's Hyborean Age of the 'Conan the Barbarian' narratives, 'Cain and Abel' have re-wardrobed and re-equipped with the affectations of those morphing's as the intangible archeological sediment covering of their latent sedentary-wanderlust characters. Speaking of changing wardrobes, Even (John)Lennon was a worldwide troubadour. He had the good fortune of PR that could have his followers at different locations than dependent on a band or tribe as his companions/support system. I'm envisioning a surplus of cannibalized workers who'd be literal journeymen, because to be sedentary would present long term expenses, let alone the short term ones, that would be more a burdensome nuisance than a legacy or next egg. Even more important the interaction-both direct and digitally virtual, would create a medium for a mindset that contrasts with those who have "settled" for a sedentary mode of living. Prospectively, in a few generations there are migrants who become the essential workers for the sedentary consumers. If the compensation for those essential (migrant) workers, they could be more like a Hun, Visigoth, or Mongol 'Cain' to the more effete and sedentary 'Abel'. junyabee: Right. The whole ethos of aesthetics that develop in it creates a culture of mind that diverges from the more sedentary-invested mindset.. DIAMONDfire: its easy to see how drugs would be a fatal undoing then and a source of untamed violence. it wouldn't have a name. yet for the sedentary-invested mind calm and peace is the 'drug'. junyabee: Yep! The intangibles that are held on as value platitudes are the most insidious and the hardest to detect.. DIAMONDfire: if differing cohorts are defined thus doesn't it defy the human element? more like an automatum. or is it a metaphysic. as i understand it metaphysics is what comes 'after mundane science' or after physics. the question is how do you get there, certainly reading and writing plays an important part. understanding another's mind. something about it for me didn't seem to be concerned with human nature, but reduction in these terms of thought makes it more human. junyabee: Being detached from your emotionally serving biases of need for those ends as being an integral foundation for the architecture design of the nature of things. junyabee: AN ADDENDUM.. Despite our strutting and fretting our hours upon this platform of existence: It may all 'cum' literally down to the peak (ecstatic) energies our bodies put out and not the 'besides the point' physical and mental gymnastics... we do for obligatory necessity or cultural, operational cohesiveness in our interactions with others. What is done within the temporal Earth human cultures is an incestuous fallacy that is a de facto 'death wish' by the flawed nature of their design. In those moments what ever was their personal non-combat saga of intellectual focus is transformed into this joint camaraderie of will].
