Should parents pay a childs college

Wonderful Wally
Wonderful Wally: I know that in America most parents have the idea that they will just boot a child onto the street at 18. However its kind of the adults fault the kid was born in the first place isn't it? I know that parents say "At 18 you are not my problem anymore so I dont really give a crap" but when you are looking at a 6 year old with all those hopes and dreams are you not hoping they have a happy future? I dont understand the purpose of having a child you never really gave a crap about for the soul purpose of saying "Look, im amazing! I was a parent". Along with this the government and Fasfa believes that child is your responsibility since Fasfa assumes all parents are paying for children and add you on the paperwork anyhow. I understand not wanting them in your basement till 30, but wouldn't any really decent parent be like "Maybe I should try to make sure they are successful so they dont have to come back".

davidrockmusiclover: I understand what you are talking about. However, I believe that the parents should support their kids in all possible way. Education matters much if you do not want to have a homeless kid. So I wish all the parents really care about it
