Motati: So you don't need to discuss how ungrateful your kids or her kids are it's just the two of you.

Motati: That's a great arrangement. I wonder if you were alone and she was alone, wouldn't you have thought about being together, and bringing the resources together.

MJ59: Nar she thinks she don't need a man..........always askin me to do maintenance tho lol

Motati: okay, but would you have wanted that?

MJ59: Yeah, tis nice to have someone to cuddle at night

Motati: I agree. There are positives and negatives in both arrangements. So the presence of your girls helped you to make the decision that suit you both, which is lovely.

MJ59: My kids always come 1st

Motati: That's great. If they were independent and your partner open to want a man, maybe it could have been different. Definitely your love for your girls would have remained the same.

Motati: We have very few fathers who really go out for their children. In other societies it's a norm, that women are the sole providers for their kids. And these are the same men that will leave their women because they are "barren" if the wife can't be pregnant. It never just occur to them that they might be the ones who are infertile.

MJ59: My wife left me, I was in for life

Motati: I left mine, because he was extremely physically and emotionally abusive. He would have killed me, if I could have stayed longer in that marriage.

MJ59: bummer

Motati: Despite all of the above I still believe that love truly exists. I got married at a young age, I could have waited until I turn 50 and wiser, I could have seen through that man that he is a psychopath.

MJ59: I was married at 21... lasted 30 years

Motati: My daughter is turning 40 this year still single, she says she will think about marriage when she is 50.

MJ59: bit late then lol

Motati: I also got married at 21, the honeymoon stage must have ended in our second year. I kept on hoping that it will work on our 13th year I gave up. I waited for him to go to work and packed our clothes, called my parents to pick me up and disappeared from that city. Went to a different city, with no job, had to find schools for my kids, new uniforms. It made me a stronger person who is more understanding and still appreciate love.

Motati: I know. I think she is just scared of being vulnerable, and meeting somebody like her daddy dearest.

MJ59: Gotta take a gamble sometimes

Motati: Hahahahahahahahahahaha! True. She has had boyfriends, but one mistake she is off. She is happy, so she says of course. She travels a lot, working for herself, very independent. She is even assisting her father financially. I am okay with it, that's her father.
