Do what makes you happy. I'm pretty sure if they consented to the split, they're not saving themselves. One night stands are fine if you want them, and single, or in a relationship where such things are communicated and both parties are okay with it. The point is to not cause others pain if you can help it. If you sleep with someone, and your ex has a problem with it, that is THEIR problem, created by THEIR insecurity and dishonesty with themselves about their feelings for you. If you sleep with someone, while in a relationship (sorry "split up and not talking isn't a relationship, it's the opposite), and you both never talked about having an open relationship, that's dishonest. Communication and Honestly is all you need. If you're not being honest, then you're being a jerk. If you're honest with someone, and they are never satisfied with your honesty, then they aren't right for you.
