perception1960: May girls have tried....I am a retired Houston Police Sgt/ Criminal Investigator. I know scams well. The girls are all the same....

Motati: It's interesting, they seem to have the same script. Most of them are medical specialists, engineers in the american army, posted in the war zones. Syria has been the common one recently.

perception1960: What's sad is that some guys fall for it....I had one girl that I talked to for like two weeks....Told me she was in Africa going to nursing school and that she was coming to see me on her break. She said she already had her ticket home and would change it to come see me..

I was waiting for the scam....Finally she said that in order to change the ticket to come see me that the airline needed $1,200....LOL...Needless to say she did not come...
